Advice for the premiere of Tomorrowland in Valencia and meeting George

GUYS !!!!!!!! I think I´m gonna go, for real !!!!!!!

I am so so nervous and stressed. I don´t know yet if I will be alone there or have any friend with me.... that is the problem. But I am convinced to go.



The thing is, I need advice for all of you and people who has been in premieres. Please.





- I am thinking of writing a letter and maybe Giovanni might take it... because there are so many things I would like to say that it´s impossible to say in that moment. So when he is signing I can tell Gio to, please, get it. DO you think he will make it?


- I want to print a photo that I like to get him to sign. (I have thought about a magazine but among all the people I don´t think it´s a good idea.) (I guess they will distributing pictures of the movie)
Choose one photo of him is very difficult. I like the one I have, from Venice festival. if you guys have any suggestion I will accept them I have to try to find one in HD





- I'm afraid that if I try to take a picture, will go wrong, blurred. Then I thought about recording it, and then make screenshot.  ??


-I have look for the places where they were when they filmed the movie in Valencia. I guess he is gonna go to the same Hotel, right? The Westin. And do you think he might go to the same restaurant to lunch? It was "La lambrusqueria", an italian. But maybe, as all of it will be the same day, maybe they don´t have time and they lunch at the hotel.

Apart from Giovanni, what is the name of the other guy we usually see with him ? In case they are both there.
I wish... because they are more tolerant. If the security men are hired by the organizer, we are not going to get any photo....people here get more crazier than other places, I have seen it.





Other thing, going to the airport or not???? I don´t know at what time they will arrive, it´s a little far away from the city center and I don´t have a car to move quickly. It would be an opportunity to see him when they get to the car. but maybe I waste time going there instead to the hotel or wait in the place of the premiere and photocall.



So, after that, I don´t know If try to go to L´Hemisferic, where the photocall and the premiere is, and try to see him. Maybe there is people waiting. I guees the photocall is gonna be inside because it is gonna be a press conference, so we won´t get to see anything.


Then time to lunch..... Try to find him?? (no idea how), talk with the press? Maybe they have ways to know it.... 




The premiere. I have to be there iwth time to get a good place. You can´t know what is a good one....

The moment of meet him. The important one !! I think I will not be able to talk, I will be in shock ! I will beg for a photo while he is signing. And I have no idea what to tell to him in that moment. Yell, Dr. Ross? Could be fun LOL. Tell him, than you for make my life happier..... maybe he doesn´t listen to me with all the poeple yelling.


Should I wait until they get out of there after the premiere?  I think it could be the last time to see him because they can go that night or the morning after but you can be there waiting when they are going to get out of the hotel in a car.


So............. as you see I am nervous. 15 years of my life being his fan sum up in that day, and the BIGGEST dream of my life being fulfilled.

I need your advice, ideas, ways to know information, tricks,... whatever.  I would appreciate it.

I think saying "Thank you for making my life happier"
or "Thank you for all the work you do which I enjoy 
very much" is a good idea hathaross.
From all the videos we've seen of George greeting 
his fans over the years, it's obvious that there 
isn't much time to say anything more.

I've not waited to see him, but I've noticed one thing
that I wouldn't do......watching him sign something......instead of looking at him directly 
while he signs.

That's the only advice I can offer you, but I do
wish you the very best of luck in achieving your dream
of seeing George.

  you will meet other fans once you are there. I met lot of others once there and they were fun.

Yes, and you can also try to give it direct to George. In Berlin George accepted letters too but gave it the Person next to him to Keep it so his Hands are free to sign autographs. Gio took letters too but he tries not to .

My friend printed the pic of George when he was a teenager and George laughed when he saw that pic and came straight to us to sign it. I would chose a picture which gets his attention straight away.

I didn't make any pics when i was there as they are many paps who do pics for you. My friend and I concentrated on the moment. when he signed the pic he said "I had a bad hair day". Those are moments you want to remember. Try to ask/say something so he will look at you. Normally when he signs he does not look up he only Looks at all the pics/Posters he needs to sign.

In Berlin he went back to the same Hotel when he stayed there for filming. he also went to the same Restaurants again when he stayed in Berlin. He likes to repeat himslef hehe so I would say the chances are high (if he has time) that he will visit the same places again.

The other guy is Stan (Little Grey man ). But when George signs autographs Stann stays away until he comes back to give Interviews. That's how it was in Berlin. In Berlin Gio visit the premier a day before to check out the entrance and the way George Needs to walk.
There will be for sure security hired by the organizer. It was in Berlin the same. And if you ask them something for example to do a pic or take something for George they will not do it. Thats they policy. that's why you need to concentrate on George and his People.

Well if you know the hot spot from your Airport where all the VIP arrive you can be lucky. In Berlin it is a different part from an Airport if you do not know that then don't go. You will be much more luckier at the premier. at the premier George really takes his time to sign autographs. It belongs to the Promotion but at the Airport he goes in and out very fast.

I went to the photocall in Berlin first but it was so crowded I had no chance go get in the first row. so I went to the premier instead and I was in the first row and lucky.

In Berlin he did not go out for lunch after the photocall as he is busy giving interviews all day. He went for dinner after the premier when everything was over. so i would not concentrate on him going somewhere for lunch and go to the premier and get a good spot there.

Yes stay, you have nothing to lose. I stayed too and he went for dinner after the premier but i didn't see much of him as there were many paps in front of the Restaurant. But if you wait until the end wait at the back entrance. In Berlin he left through the back entrance.

Thanks Joanna.  I´ll take that advice, I will try to focus on him and have the photo for him to sign but not paying attention to the photo hahaha, and my mobile recording. So I will ask him for a photo and instead of take a photo, if I record it, then I just will have to make a screenshot and there will be not problem with blurry photos.

So cool he accpet letters ! I´m going to start with mine now, althoug is pretty difficult to sum up 15 years in it and start with something to get his attention.....

Hathaross - That's great advice from Nicky and Joanna. The only thing I would add, if you want to see the movie at the premiere, is when you get there ask security or the theater staff if they're using seat fillers. Those are people who they let in to fill up any empty seats. At the MM premiere in NY there was a fairly long list of people who signed up to be fillers and at least some of them got to see the movie that night. It's worth asking about.

Ok, that´s great Lizzy. I am pretty sure they will fill the seats, every politician of that city will be there, I am sure. But if I get to see somebody from Disney I will ask them  


I ´m trying to get a photo in HD. At Venice, I am between the ones of Michael Clayton premiere, Gravity or a nice one from the wedding when he was in the boat, just a photo of him happy....

Similars from those... Michael Clayton ones are great, from Venice and to a France film festival he went, but I don´t remember the name; and the wedding ones, I only find photos with the family, not him. 
And If I have a good one has watermarks....

What gorgeous pictures hathaross.  You've gotten great tips from Nicky Joanna and Lizzy.  I'm soooo excited for you.  I can't wait to hear what happens when you go.

I'd suggest getting there early to try to get to the front.  Watch you don't get crushed from behind.  Have whatever you want him to sign ready as soon as he gets to you.  I'd suggest you get a glossy 8x10 printout done at a photo studio. Then you can frame it!

Forget what he's signing, look at his lovely eye lashes (yum).  Try to take a picture as he goes down the line as he's coming toward you.

I found I was always too fucking tongue tied to talk to him.  Just smile, he'll smile back.  Try to ask for a photo with him.  Will depend on how many people are there and how much time they have.

He usually has a pen with him but just in case take one of those SHARPIE type permanent pens with you that way it will be much easier for him to sign, especially if a glossy picture.  But he'll probably have one anyway.  But take one as a backup in case his runs out.

You'll meet people there - especially if you get there early.  You'll be standing for quite a while.  

One year I met a couple from England and had a jolly ole time speaking with them as we waited for George and the rest of the actors and guests to arrive.

Hey Lizzy, thanks for the seat filler info.  I never knew that!

You'll have lots of fun meeting all the other fans there, so no need to worry about going alone. In case you have a long wait, bring something to eat (a snack bar, an apple - not a full picnic!) and mints or chewing gum.

I'm not entirely sure I'd support the idea of staking out his favourite restaurant, though!

to sign a picture from his wedding day. You can always
congratulate him on his marriage. That may make him
listen !  I think Nicky's comment about not
bothering to try to photograph him when he's within
reach as there will be many online to chose from.
But it will flow for you I'm sure.

I feel thrilled about your plans and look forward to
hearing all about it.
One last tip....dont drink much water during the day
for obvious reasons......and maybe pad up in case of 
one of those "ooops" moments !!

I like both photos, I thought the one of his wedding would be nice, but I can´t find another one in better quality or similar when he is the only one in the photo. And the Venice one.... welll, look at him. so handsome in there !

I got really excited when I saw your post....3 things I love seeing George, and meeting fans and seeing new places!

I have seen George twice  ......and I had planned to see him again in London on Sunday....but my work life is preventing this....I looked up a flight to Valencia from where I will be.... And there is one on Sunday night....but getting out again is difficult .....

If I can I will PM you...So keep your eyes open....

When I saw George in Venice, I told the Italian ladies in front of me to call him "Kentucky Dude"......It worked and he touched her cheek....I think we all need a little reminder of home when we are far away.....So I would go with that again if I were you.....

Can you get a T-Shirt printed?.....Over here it is very easy many places do it....We all know George likes a T-shirt so get 2 printed and have something different printed on them....here is a few idea's ....Wear one to attract his attention.....

That's awesome Sevens!   Can't wait for you to tell us everything.  When watching Good Morning America this morning George said in his interview I think that Amal was going to Shanghai with him.

He and the interviewer were talking about how he and Amal won't spend more than a week apart and George mentioned they would be going to Shanghai.  He didn't mention it in terms of Tomorrowland.  I think I heard it right.  Hopefully I can watch a video of the interview again and I'll try to confirm.  But I'm pretty sure.

Sevens I just double checked.  He was talking about the traveling they are going to do and he said "We're on our way to Shanghai".

ok the insider of Disney China just confirmed Amal will also come with George and walk the red carpet with him. Hope she would help grab my gift to George.
