Amal Clooney is now making her mark in the fashion world and was sure to be noticed as she slithered through New York City on Tuesday.

The 37-year-old Lebanese-British lawyer, who is married to actor George Clooney, was seen strolling around in a pair of neutral snakeskin boots featuring chunky heels and metallic accents on the front.

Reptile: The star wore snakeskin-printed boots with tan panels and metallic accents

The rest of her ensemble was casual chic and coordinated well with her reptile-printed shoes.

Amal displayed her thin figure in a tan knit and beige J Brand leather jacket which she teamed with distressed denim skinnies.

The London-based professional accesorised with a double-wrapped silver chain necklace, drop-pearl earrings, and oversized sunglasses.

Her lustrous locks were styled in a voluminous blow-dry, as a her lips popped with a faded pink slick.

Amal completed her look with a tan tote.

Though she appeared super stylish and receives plenty of praise, it seems designer Izaac Mizrahi does not consider her a fashion icon.

'No, I don't think so. Absolutely not. Good looking, but that's where it ends,' the 53-year-old American fashion designer told Threads.

'She looks great all the time, but it always looks kind of, what's the word? Tactful. 

'She looks really tactful to me. And extremely beautiful. But I don't think of her as a fashion icon. But that's probably better — who really wants to do that?'

Meanwhile, Amal's husband George has recently joined the ranks of Britain's super-rich - thanks to Amal.

The couple are worth a joint £121 million – placing them at number 790 out of the 1,000 wealthiest people in Britain and Ireland.

George, 53, has been included in the Sunday Times Rich List for the first time this year after his marriage to the high-profile lawyer in Venice last September.

It's a really smart  look for her.  Love the jacket, bag and sweater. Never a fan of ripped jeans nor do I like the boots.  That's me.  On her it all works and she wears it effortlessly.

I hate the boots.

I don't mind torn jeans if they got that way naturally, but the pre-torn ones just look stupid to me- trying too hard to be hip. I don't like the boots either.
