PigPen, how much snow has melted? Ha ha! What's the latest tally? I heard 90 inches.
Speaking of pregnancies there could be a baby boom in Boston come Oct/Nov. There's only so much you can do when there's 90 inches of snow outside your front door.

Re: March 2015 Chit Chat
Glad I'm not an obstetrics nurse!!
We're over 100" snow. SERIOUS problems with melting. Enormous icicles falling off roofs. One fell of a roof in Boston and hit someone on the head. I'll skip the details, but you can imagine the injuries. Lots of roofs have collapsed. Two human deaths. Some horse stable roof collapses- horses lost.
Supposed to hit 50 Wednesday ( major melting) then go back down into the 20's--- major refreeze.
I've given up winter for lent.
How are things at your end of the forest?

As much as I hate to say this...
Congrats to the Kentucky men's basketball team on their undefeated regular season. That's a phenomenal achievement. I wouldn't be a true college hoops fan if I didn't acknowledge it.
Now I'll just go back to not liking them. Looking forward to the big upset in the NCAA tournament.

Oh, I won't mention the glorious sunshine we've been having then?
Hey, how on earth did it get to be the second week in March already??!
Inspired by Nicky80, I've given up sugar for lent. Been doing really well (amazingly) until yesterday when I gave in to cravings and devoured a whole 100g bar of swiss chocolate at night. Was bouncing off the walls until 4am!

Maaaaaaan! Only until Easter. And then I'm going to gorge myself on chocolate! I came back from Germany with a kilo of chocolate in my suitcase. Gosh, that sounds awful! It's only 10 x 100g bars! Seeing as I clearly can't be trusted with them, I've given them to a work colleague and she's locked them up in her office drawer for protection.

Re: March 2015 Chit Chat
Oh by the way, looney tunes over at IMDB called me a dyke a couple of days ago. LMAO. I guess I just never really knew the true me. It's such a relief to have someone who has never met me reach into the core of my being and tell me exactly who I am. Thank you, thank you so much for clearing that up for me.
You know though, I guess I can understand how George must feel when people like me and those of us on this board and even looney tunes, who have never met him, can sit here and dissect him and his motivations. I read he made that point some months back and it makes sense how he feels.
Most people don't have a clue who they really are and what often motivates their actions because most of us just don't dissect ourselves like others are willing to do.
I often had people say I was aloof when I was younger, when in fact, I was painfully shy. They took a perceived rejection of them and made it a negative personality trait on me never realizing that my actions had absolutely nothing to do with them.
So Ms. Tin Foil Hat did remind me of that. I do picture her in that shiny hat, sitting in a tin foil lined room, furtively sneaking looks around convinced that someone is listening in and/or watching her. And on that point, she is probably correct. (I'll comment in a minute on that).
I guess more might feel some compassion for her if she wasn't so totally abusive in her rants. That she hates George is quite evident. That she feels he in some way rejected her is also quite glaringly and painfully obvious. That she projects whatever perceived rejection of her as being orchestrated by those of us on this board, yes, especially you katie, is also quite evident.
She gives you more power than you have because unless I've read your postings incorrectly for the last what 10 to 12 years or so on various boards, you've never officially met George either. (I may have seen him at premieres but I've never been introduced to him).
There is always some "external" force that is the reason that she and her alter ego Anna do not have access to George not really understanding that's it's her own extreme and constantly verbalized delusions and obvious mental illness that will always deny her access to George.
I'm quite convinced he is very aware of who she really is. No one makes the kinds of threats she has made on imdb without some official agency investigating her - so her NSA / CIA comments may very well be valid IN HER CASE because they would be fools NOT to investigate her.
She would pose a serious threat to George and I am convinced that due to her postings (despite her attempts at disguising her never ending string of IPs) they know exactly where she is located at all times.
What is truly is sad is how the mind can so totally snap like that. I sometimes wonder if she functions in the real world at all or if she's just a shut in with only an internet connection to access the outside world.
Hopefully, it's the latter as then she would not be likely to pose a physical threat to George.
Me, I'm just a girl who apparently likes girls. Thanks to tin foil gal I finally know who I truly am! What a fucking relief! brahahahahaha

Personally I don't think there is anything funny about a person like this. Sick in the mind and with distorted views of her world and of others is nothing to take lightly. I do hope someone has their eye on her. It's people like this who people brush off and say they're crazy but harmless but end up doing great harm (either to themselves or someone else).

Donnamarie, I think Amaretti was just referring to my last comment in my post which I did mean to be funny. So thanks for picking that up amaretti.
Yes, DM you are correct, this person, if left unchecked could be dangerous. That's why I firmly believe she is or has been monitored by some agency. Her rantings are not those of a sane person and if she were to get near George could be a threat to him.
As I said, I hope she is confined and only has access via internet to George. That they don't shut her down may be part of the plan - if she's ranting on IMDB then she's less likely to be traveling to try to see George.

Lorne/amaretti I gotcha. And it was funny Lorne ... you finding humor in an otherwise pretty disturbing story. If you don't laugh about the s*h*i*t she says you might be freaking out. She's been on COH in the past? So I've probably read some of her stuff that gets my blood boiling. She probably loves that. I've never read her rantings on IMDB. Probably just as well. Sounds like she needs serious help. Usually with people like her it's everyone else who needs help. She's the only sane one.
In her mind.

I think the man who shot John Lennon said
that he just wanted to be famous.
It is quite worrying that there are people like
that about.
I get concerned sometimes
for the safety of George, and now his wife,
when stick their heads above the parapet.

I really do hope there's someone keeping an eye on her, if only for her own sake. I had never read the IMDb message boards until a couple of weeks ago and I was shocked at how far over the edge she seems to have gone. Some of what she says is really vicious. She really needs help.

Re: March 2015 Chit Chat
She needs help, yes. She also needs our sympathy and compassion. She's mentally ill and can't help that.
That she's a nasty piece of work who takes her frustrations out on posters on this site is an unfortunate side effect of her illness and best laughed off because it does no damage to us. What she's said about some posters here is, uh . . . original to say the least.
I would assume that George's security team are aware of her existence and taking precautions.
Sadly I don't have the same income to spend on security as George has so I'll remind everyone here to take care and remember that this is a public website. Please be careful what sort of personal information you share about yourself. I hasten to add that this is good advice for any websites/discussion forums you use, not just here.
Lorna - congratulations on coming out! :p Hope it's working out well for you!! hahahahahahahaah!

Re: March 2015 Chit Chat
http://www.msn.com/en-gb/lifestyle/style/stella-mccartney’s-fake-fur-coats-are-worlds-away-from-the-brutal-fur-trade/ar-AA9ICQp
The Guardian 3 days ago Tansy Hoskins
In an industry where designers rarely take an admirable position on anything, Stella McCartney’s opposition to animal cruelty has been consistent and vocal. So it was a surprise for the fashion press when she sent voluminous fake-fur coats down the runway at Paris fashion week.
Of her decision, McCartney said: “I’ve been speaking to younger women about it recently and they don’t even want real fur. So I feel like maybe things have moved on …”
Something similar previously happened with food. In the freezer cabinets at the supermarket you’ll likely find the fake-meat products championed by McCartney’s mother, Linda. These foods are shaped like meat products and made to taste like meat. But, crucially, nothing died to make them. The very existence of these products depends upon millions of people finding the meat industry unethical, unhealthy, and environmentally unsound.
It would be a stretch to argue that fake meat fuels the meat market when it actually takes people away from animal produce by providing a viable alternative convenience food.
Fur farms involve 75 million animals kept in tiny cages, many of which become infected with disease, suffer horrific injuries and go mad from grief and stress. Their death typically occurs via electrocution with an anal probe or from being skinned alive.
This incredibly graphic video, narrated by McCartney, was filmed secretly at a fox farm in the US – and it makes horror films look soft. Because it takes a lot of chemicals to stop a dead animal from putrefying, the World Bank lists fur dressing as one of the world’s five worst industries for toxic-metal pollution.
In this sense, fake fur is like fake meat, its raison d’etre is because millions of people find the real thing sickening. Fake fur can look like fur – McCartney’s offerings dance very close to that line – but it isn’t.
If we don’t draw this critical distinction between the fake and the real, we help a fur industry desperate for people to regard the two as morally equal. They want to twist the principles of a generation of people who have rejected fur, in order to kick-start their market.
But to conflate the two and pretend that there is no moral difference between fur and fake fur is to ignore a difference as wide as the Grand Canyon. It would be like arguing that the same criminal sanctions should apply to the owner of a suitcase filled with white powder whether it be baking soda or cocaine. Or that shooting someone dead in a film is the same as doing so in real life.
George Monbiot criticises our society for hiding away meat production processes. Children, he says, should be taken to visit abattoirs. He adds that “if we cannot bear to see what we eat, it is not the seeing that’s wrong, it’s the eating”.
This should also apply to what we wear. The reality of the fashion industry needs to be confronted, not hidden. This is especially true for fur farming, an industry that simply should not exist and which was banned in England and Wales in 2000, and in Scotland in 2002.
But if nothing died to make a fake-fur coat, if its material reality could not be more different from that of fur, why is there a fuss at McCartney championing fake fur?
The public nature of fashion is to blame. Unlike food, which is mostly consumed at home, fashion has us walking around as our own private billboards. People recoil from fake fur, not because of the mechanics of the product but because of the echoes of cruelty that such apparel represents.
Questions about whether fake fur is a rebellion against cruelty and a means to prevent suffering, or a needless mimicry and accidental supporter of inhumane practices, are a tension that will remain so long as fur farms exist.
Fake fur’s problem lies in its association with the horrors of the fur industry, with all its echoes of needless death. But real fur is the real problem here; people have not forgotten that it is an ethics-free business based on unfettered ecocide and brutality.

Re: March 2015 Chit Chat
Many of those fake meat products are made of soy. Won't touch soy too much of it is GMO in the US.
Plus soy emulates female hormones. Guys should stay away from soy for that very reason.
But don't just take my word for it. Search online for topica like "Why guys shouldn't eat soy" and also ask questions like, "Soes soy affect hormones?"

I'm leading one damn fascinating life and I didn't even know it! Shit!
Where's Colin Firth? Where's Daniel Craig? Hell, Where's Pierce Brosnan! I should have been a Bond Gal!
(Oh strike Daniel Craig, just found out he's dumber than a door nail - can't abide a stupid man, no matter how good his body looks in swim trunks!)

Don't we have a thread already about IMDb? I would like to see this "chat" moved to that thread so it doesn't clutter up Chit Chat. Then I can choose to ignore the whole thread. Please and thank you.

chill pill. geez.
I'll talk about fur then. or maybe that's it's hotter than hades in Los Angeles so no use wearing fur out here.
I've been doing a lot of crossword puzzles lately.
I think I got a hangnail yesterday.
Ever have a dream you have to pee and wake up and have to pee?
Car almost veered into my lane today.
yea, this stuff bores the shit out of me too.
