Any idea if George is attending the Oscars this year? Didn't think he was, as there was no mention of him being a presenter (unless he's presenting Best Picture?). But since Amal has stuck around in LA, could it be for the Oscars?

Don't think he would attend the Oscars.He is preparing for the filming of "Money Monster", which is 
about to start next week in NY.

But George looks good in a  dark suit jacket and blue shirt. No tie. I like this look.

George is looking very tanned and thin all of a sudden isn't he?

I think they're both tanned from time spent
in Cabo recently.

Not sure if it's just me but I think George hair looks much darker compare to the last sighting....maybe it is the light or he was dyeing his hair....the hair makes him look sooooo sexy

this pant that Amal is using may be of some famous designer, but it's horrible. It's amazing the bad taste her. And she's getting thinner, looks like a broken doll

Well just because it's designer doesn't mean everyone is going to like it.  Kiera Knightly wore what must have been an extremely expensive Chanel dress to one of the awards and she looked like she was wearing one of my grandma's doilies around her neck.  Quite Fugly IMO.

I don't particularly like fabric that shows wrinkles easily so that's my issue with the pants.  George, as always, looks lovely.

By all means, be open with your ridicule and take glee in any misstep you think she makes. 

Besides, making a joke about someone's weight is so tasteful and a sign of such superior tact.

Lizzy, I think the host committee couples are all in the business. Plus, Amal hasn't been around long enough to be a member.

 In all fairness, it doesn't look like it was a strictly 'dress up' kind of event: Spielberg was in jeans and a jumper! Most men seem to be in suits with no tie and unbuttoned shirts. That's what I call smart-casual (or business-casual) so a dress isn't necessary.

Way2Old - Did they list them because they're members? I thought they were just listing attendees and their spouses. Interesting. Thanks .

Yeah, host committee members vs invited guests is the way I read it. George is the former. The hosts who are listed as couples are both in the industry, from what I see.

George and Spielberg seem to be friends in the business. They have common beliefs in Sudan&both are loyal Democrats. When will George be directed by Spielberg? That would be amazing!

George and Steven go clear back to the ER days.  Steven is the one who thought George would make it big if he lost his "head tilt".

george does look great and happy in this last picture with Spielberg. I think he always has a smile on his face and loves to mingle and enjoy life. I hope he will make another film out here in LA, so I can try to be in it again. love , bg

He did the "head tilt" a lot on ER.  I remember reading what Spielberg said.  I'm pretty sure George was doing that move in some of the Oceans' movies.  But it has faded away over the years.  It's a physical gesture that I solely attribute to George and found endearing.  But he still has the habit of tugging on his shirt sleeve cuffs whenever he's wearing a suit at a public venue.  

Sorry. getting off topic.   

Just to go back a bit, the designer trousers on the very long legs are silk, much like George's shirt, so very unlikely to be cheap - and oh to look that good in a pair of wide-legged trousers.

George is very thin and elegant and I honestly don't think Amal has lost that much weight. If you look at the original official photograph for the chambers, you can see her hip bones there, and from the photos I think she has the bone structure and delicate look of her grandmother, the original female leading light of the American University in Beirut.

Plus, let us assume, a great sex life...............

I believe there are a whole bunch of parties around the Oscars. Just wish the picture agencies could be clearer about where/when their pictures are from to save us the headache of trying to work it out.
