George Clooney and Amal honeymoon in the Seychelles
George Clooney and Amal Alamuddin may be trying to keep their honeymoon location secret, but they can't hide from us!
X17online can report, exclusively, the couple are vacationing in the Seychelles islands at the North Island resort. So chic!
George and Amal wrapped up their four-day wedding in Venice, Italy on Monday after their civil service and jetted off to an unknown location for their first vacation together as husband and wife. But X17 has tracked the newlyweds to the Seychelles Islands in the Indian Ocean.
The luxury North Island resort has hosted Clooney's pals Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, Prince William and Kate Middleton, Bill Gates and other superstars. The resort is made up of 11 villas, each one more than 5,000 square feet. Each villa has its own plunge pool and the resort itself is accessible only by helicopter.
Our source tells us:
Congrats to the new couple ... enjoy!

"George and Amal were looking for the ultimate, private getaway and I believe it was Brad who told him to go to this resort. It's one of the most beautiful places on earth and George wanted to show Amal something even more amazing than Venice. It was the only place that could top off such an elaborate wedding."
Congrats to the new couple ... enjoy!

Re: George Clooney and Amal honeymoon in the Seychelles
Hmmm, well no pic and since George and Amal have already been there this source makes it sound like it's their fist time there. Not realizing they were there in April. Maybe they are there but I'm not convinced. Wherever they are I'm sure they are thoroughly enjoying themselves. And, of course, we have no pic of Amal leaving the Heathrow airport either so don't know what to think.

Donnamarie, it's called a smoke screen. They could be anywhere, or nowhere (meaning they're hanging out in one of George's, excuse me, ,their, properties- Cabo-or Como). George remains exceptional at playing stealth celebrity.

Who can blame them for wanting privacy at this time ?
I don't think we'd want cameras poking their noses in
when we were on Honeymoon....or indeed any holiday.

Why start now, Joanna? Hell, they even released the notes from Nick's speech for publication. Now they want privacy?. Wouldn't surprise me if honeymoon photos show up in People next week. Very disappointed in him. His business to do what he wants. My business to take a break from the George and Amal Kardashian wedding. see you guys in s few days. I'm outta here!!!

Re: George Clooney and Amal honeymoon in the Seychelles
Now is this X17 story correct??
They were in the Seychelles in March, and the word was that they were on Fregate then, another private island. North Island is owned by Wilderness, another eco company, which is great.........it's just all the creative name-dropping I'm not sure about........and the source......and for three days. Mmm

Damn it! If we're allowed to just invent sightings then I'm issuing a press release saying they stayed in my hotel.

They invent a lot of things Katiedot.
Recently there was full page article on George becoming a father and Amal's pregnancy....this was just over a month ago.
It may surprise some people but we take this seriously as George's fan...and become quite upset to learn the truth about some of the things that are said...particular if we follow him.
Don't forget some people loyal and take the stories seriously when buying a magazine.

George Clooney and Amal Alamuddin are honeymooning on North Island

It's hardly surprising that George Clooney and his new bride, Amal Alamuddin, have chosen North Island in Seychelles as the perfect spot to recover from the exertions and stress of their Venice wedding.
George and his new bride are likely to have chosen the Indian Ocean archipelago for their honeymoon after the Seychelles government recently introduced laws to protect the privacy of celebrities seeking solace from their frenetic A-list lifestyles.

North, as it is known locally, is the perfect island getaway
Alain St.Ange, the tourism minister for Seychelles, confirmed that the Clooneys are honeymooning in the country.
"We want people, famous or not, to be able to relax on their holiday," St. Ange told the Telegraph. "They shouldn't have to worry about being spied upon."
North, as it is known locally, is run by the eco-conscious Wilderness Safari company, based in South Africa, who have managed the ecological restoration of the island for more than a decade.
Careful habitat management and a strict policy of sustainable development mean that visitors feel they are in an untouched paradise. Scuba diving, sailing, snorkelling, bike rides and nature walks are the order of the day.

North has also played host to the Duke & Duchess of Cambridge

The island's 11 villas are large, each with its own pool, and there is no menu for the restaurant - the chef makes up meals according to guests' individual preference, though fresh line-caught local snapper and wahoo fish are usually a favourite.
The whole resort is designed with the aim of restoring a sense of being at one with the natural environment. Guests can even hire a beach for private use.
After the high sophistication of the Cipriani and Aman Canal Grande hotels in Venice the utter peace of an Indian Ocean island will be the perfect place to wind down.
The paradise feel of islands like North is clear. The beaches are achingly beautiful and at this time of year the weather is usually picture perfect as there is often no wind to disturb the surface of the sea.

North also gets little rain, despite its proximity to the moody and magnificent larger island of Silhouette which is so high and steep it often attracts its own tropical downpours.
The sight of Silhouette from North as the sun goes down behind its dramatic summit is one of the best views in Seychelles.
Standard villas on North start at £2,000 per night, but the Clooneys are likely to have opted for Villa 11, which is set apart and slightly larger than the others and costs a cool £3,200 a night. And although it might seem pricey, the rates are almost totally inclusive, unless you order vintage wines.

George & Amal will be able to unwind in the privacy of their own spa
Guests can also pay for private yoga sessions and spa treatments, while the short helicopter ride from the main airport on Mahé costs £1,175 per couple.
The Clooneys are believed to be honeymooning on the island for a fortnight bringing the cost of the trip, without extras, to £47,000.
Press reports that the Clooney wedding celebrations cost anything from £5million upwards mean that a week at North Island will seem like a bargain in comparison.
George Clooney and Amal Alamuddin are following in the honeymoon footsteps of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.
They too chose North, and like the Clooneys had visited Seychelles previously. Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have visited too, and the actress Salma Hayek chose North for her honeymoon.

North is one of the world's most exclusive private islands
One of the many attractions of the island - and of the Seychelles in general is that it offers a higher level of privacy than almost any other destination.
North, like other equally luxurious privately owned islands such as Frégate and Denis, are inaccessible unless you are a guest.

Following the visit by Wills and Kate the government introduced a law making it an offense for a Seychellois citizen to provide assistance to any papparazzo who was cunning enough to hire a fishing boat and try to take photographs from offshore.

North also makes much of its strong eco-credentials
In the case of the Cambridges the government even stationed a coast guard vessel offshore to make sure the royal couple were left alone.
During their honeymoon Prince William enthused that he was pleased to have returned to a country where the safeguarding of nature is so important.
He and Kate were presented with a souvenir of their holiday by the President of Seychelles - a beautifully boxed coco-de-mer nut.
The nuts of the palm tree Loadoicea maldivica, which only grow naturally on one island in the Seychelles, Praslin, are often called "love-nuts" because of their erotic appearance.

Seychelles is renowned for its coco-de-mer palm
They are also the largest seeds in the plant kingdom with a unique botanical history and can weigh up to 30 kilogrammes. Tourists can visit the valley where they grow on the second largest island of Praslin.
If Mr. and Mrs. Clooney are lucky they will spend their time on North in peace sipping sun-downers and watching flying foxes cruising above the granite outcrops in search of ripe mangos at the crest of the island, and fall asleep to the gentle grunting of some of the Seychelles giant tortoises that live on the island.

I don't trust anyone who confirms something like this. They are violating someone's privacy and putting their security in jeopardy. Plus, they are promoting themselves.

And who is confirming they are in the Seychelles? The Telegraph? Unnamed sources? I guess as long as they won't be able to get photos because of the privacy thing the media can make up anything.

Re: George Clooney and Amal honeymoon in the Seychelles
No one probably cares at this point but ... I was reading the Travel section of the Washington Post this morning and a freelance writer wrote about her recent trip to the Seychelles. She wrote about how you can take "A royals' retreat on a commoner's budget". Well, it's only one line but she wrote "George and Amal Clooney recently honeymooned there." She also mentioned how William and Kate honeymooned on the North Island. In this thread it was written that is where the Clooney's supposedly stayed. According to the article the royals spent almost $13,000 a night to rent the private island's entire resort.

Re: George Clooney and Amal honeymoon in the Seychelles
If that's true about our William & Kate
then I don't blame them at all.
They had a big public wedding to endure, apparently
not what they wanted, but had to keep to
Protocol for a future King of England.
I'm just sorry that I won't be around to see
William as our King. I believe he will make changes
to the Monachy.
