Yep, yet another artist has taken inspiration from our George. Happily (and unusually) the results aren't as scary as usual. Anyone else reminded of a somewhat psychotic witness in a courtroom drawing?

No,but my daughter does,and drawing portraits is not an easy way to capture someones image for most with that skill.

She works a full time job, and school part time,then there's the boy-friend,and although she supports my social COHF life, I don't think I could get her to draw him.

Well close but none capture that good looking devil we all love! Maybe if we could mix up facial features from all we could get a better more life-like drawing.

Watching my daughter and a close friend pursue their art over the years has taught me a respect for how difficult it can be to create and express your vision. Also the drawing or painting of a well known person isn't easy to do.So good of you to share your work thank you sandwiches.

I think the drawing at the top of this thread is one of the better drawings I've seen. The eyes are not quite recessed enough to be right, but the nose and mouth was captured very well. I used to draw, and noses were the hardest thing for me.
Sandwiches, your very good. The first drawing absolutely blew me away, that good.

First 2 are copies but arranged differently by me. The third one was suppose to an album cover for a rock band, kind of Dali like. Fourth one I named PMS. lol! Laughing

Blubelle, I think that when the pic first came out, some thought it was Elisabetta, but I believe the painting is much prettier than her.

I like the way she captured his face in teh turban pic. I dont think the girl looks like Julia or EC. I also like the red and black pic behind the artist.

Clooneys six, it's just a re-do of the original American Gothic (side-by-side pic, the original is on the left). They're just farmer clothes. Most farmers wear them.
