I don't remember the man's name that the couple first showed the ring to in a restaurant; but I am fairly sure he runs charity weddings.

I would think George would want wedding gifts to go to a favorite cause of his or the person giving the gift. He has that kind of heart, and maybe even the same with wedding pictures.
