Which Costar Wants George Clooney to 'Have Some Children Already'?

Who needs nudging relatives when you've got Elliott Gould?

Asked about his longtimeOcean's costar George Clooney's engagement to Amal Alamuddin, the veteran actor says he's thrilled for his friend and is rooting for him to take another big plunge.

"I want him to have some children already!" Gould, 75, told PEOPLE at Wednesday night's L.A. premiere of the Showtime series, Ray Donovan.

Gould, who played a fatherly role to thieves Clooney, Matt Damonand Brad Pitt in Ocean's Eleven and its two sequels, believes Clooney is destined for fatherhood.

"He's got a good role model as a father – Nick is great," says Gould, himself a father of three. "And George has a big heart. He'll be a wonderful father. I want George to take the next step, but let's worry about him getting married first!"

Gould calls Alamuddin "a beautiful woman and very smart." And he has no problem with putting on the public pressure for little Clooneys: "It would be very meaningful for those of us who love George to help pull the wagon."

I was wondering too but thought this is only me who doesn't get it LOL

I was thinking he meant that George will have a full house (wagon) with kids and not live like before in an empty house????

It's an odd expression, and Mr Gould is a senior citizen. I mean no disrespect, but that his expressions may be abit difficult to translate due to generation differences. But here's a shot in the dark. Back in the 50's and 60's parents, sibblings et al used to drag/ push their kids around the neighborhood in , what was known as a little red wagon. This may be what Mr Gould meant. Then again, maybe I need another martini Very Happy

Pigpen - Pour one for me! I've never heard that expression before and I haven't a clue where it came from - or what it means. Maybe he just made it up! Laughing
