Which director would you like to see George work with in the future?

So George has worked with many great directors over his career...such as Steven Soderbergh, Coen Bros, Alfonso Cuaron, Brad Bird, Alexander Payne, Quentin Tarantino, Stephen Gaghan...these are Oscar winning directors.(some won for writing)
And there're David O. Russell,Tony Gilroy,Jason Reitman,Wes Anderson as Academy Awards nominated directors.
I really enjoy Coen Bros and Alfonso Cuaron's work over the years.
Among all the prominent directors George has worked with, who's your favorite one?
And which director would you like to see George work with in the future?
My thoughts: David Fincher, Steven Spielberg, Darren Aronofsky and Clint Eastwood. I love most of their work and feel George would fit their styles. Although I like Christopher Nolan, it seems George isn't quite his taste or I just don't think actors are really important in Norlan's films. 

Has he ever been directed by Tarantino?

yes he has , its called from dusk till dawn , george is badass in that one i like his tattoo .

I thought Robert Rodriguez directed that and Tarantino just acted.

I love George in the movies from Steven Soderbergh. But I accept any other director   

David Fincher, Wes Anderson..

Someone new and exciting. A real thriller. And this time he'd better concentrate on his character ! No fun on the set !

QT didn't direct FDTD, but he wrote the script and was a co-star...

And producer.

I'd love to see him work with Soderbergh again - not just because they work so well together, but because it would mean Soderbergh was making movies again. - Also Alexander Payne, because he got such a good performance out of George in a role he wasn't used to.

Yeah George once said he'd love to work with them again...
But I'd be more excited about a David Fincher&George Clooney film.

I would have to say that I would like to see George make another movie with Anton Corbijn. He is an interesting director and I think they worked well together. I read some about Corbijn and he also seemed passionate about his work.

Wolfgang Petersen was not an option in the poll .I really like his films: Das Boot ( best submarine film ever made), Troy , In the Line of Fire, Airforce One and of course Perfect Storm. It has always been one of my favorite George films. Great cast, great story, and George has never been hotter then this and I like the chemistry between him and Mary Elizabeth M.

Since Wolfgang wasn't an option I voted for Alexander Payne. I really like The Descendants, an unusual performance from George but one of his best.

Which director would I like to see him with in the future?

Clint Eastwood, Lasse Hallström, Sean Penn, Sydney Pollack, Gus Van Sant.

Sydney Pollack died 5 or 6 years ago.

Great filmmaker, but not so good he could pull that off, even for George.

I vote for Sarah Polley, Jennifer Westfeldt, and Nicole Holofcener.

I completely forgot about that. He died in 2008. 

I haven't seen any  films from the female directors you mentioned. The latest film I saw by a female director was Winter's Bone which was brilliant. But I haven't seen any other film from Debra Granik.

Try 'Away from Her' (Polley); 'Kissing Jessica Stein' and 'Friends with Kids' (Westfeldt); and 'Enough Said' and 'Friends with Money' (Holofcener).

Granik did a documentary about war vets a year or so ago. She's not prolific, just really good.
