Now we have all the green hats, Four Leaf Clovers and crucibles coming down from top of the screen! Although I don't quite know what thery're for...  
So how do you western people celebrate this day? Any special traditions?

You'll need to wait till the Americans get online because they're the ones who really celebrate it. All I know is parades and colouring everything in green (even beer - particularly if it's Irish). If you want to join in the celebrations you just have to go to any Irish pub near you, I guarantee they'll all be celebrating today.

We have shamrocks, lucky horseshoes, leprachaun hats and pots of gold falling from the screen.

Happy St. Paddy's Day to all! And hell yes, we turn the Chicago River bright emerald green every year...everyone in Chicago is Irish for a day, this time of year!  This year they even had to break up the ice on the river to dye it.  And hundreds of thousand showed up in the bitter cold to celebrate not to mention, partying everywhere you look in the streets. Our parades are epic... Good times!

I have to be quick a good time beckons....

This is the first time in years I have spent Paddy’s Day at home here in Ireland...

Most of my relatives are  Traditional musician’s  and  every Paddy’s day we spread far and wide to the four corners of the earth. Mostly to play in Embassies, and cultural centre's.

I can’t play or sing, but I lug around a  Bodhran  and dance.

BUT sadly due to a fall going down a stairwell at an airport (wouldn’t you know!) where I landed on my knees, my feet of flames have turned into knees of pain.  

It was time to hang up the shoes...but still today it’s hard to keep the feet still....

Paddy’s day should be filled with craic and music, I wish you all the best of both!

These little green floaters are very polite.

Oh yes, IM. Just fine! Don't know if you asking because of the funny spelling (I was (annoyingly) trying to spell phonetically in an Irish accent) or because you think I might have been a bit green!
No hangover here -- but I appreciate the concern! Not even a mild headache... thanks to the equivalent of the Venerable Panadol and efficacious ibuprofen.
