How deep is your love?

This is fairly personal so I will understand if you don't wish to share I realize love can be a very private or public affair.

A number of you have by the sound of it.... expressed a very deep affection for George..perhaps love...only you can say.

I am wondering for some how far this goes?

Do you believe you are really in love with someone you have never seen or will see?

Would or does it stop you from persueing other relationships? Do your feelings for GC stop you from moving in other directions with other people?

Given he is very talented and great looking...Is the Bar to high for others...and potential partners fall short in comparision?

Or is it just a fun outlet.... few laughs, friendship on the forum and basically a respect for his work?

No interview just interested in people and life...I had wanted to be a psychologist..but didn't make it.

There has been no recent news on GC so I thought it might be a topic you would like to discuss.

I've been a fan of George since 1994 and ER days.
At that time I became computer literate, self taught,
and I used the Internet to find out more about him
and his work. I found a fan site called Clooney Studio and became hooked on reading all about him there.
That closed down so I then followed another fan site,
which closed down and eventually found myself here.

I enjoy coming here for the information about George and for the fun times amongst crazy ladies like me,
who enjoy George Clooney !

I've met some lovely ladies here.....all thanks to George.
So "Thank You George" for bringing us all together !

Well, I don't think I "love" him because he's older than my father...
My feelings for George are much like I really admire him. I admire and enjoy his talent, ability and integrity.
Even if I dream of him, I always feel anxious being with him.
What I do love is his work.

No love here either - but lust, yes there is lust and plenty of it.....

(ahem fan of his acting/directing/writing skills too - not completely shallow...yet)

I have a connection, I can't explain it.   On that very subject I made a point of seeing him. It didn't detract or intensify the connection, IT JUST IS.

No, not at all, nobody could stop me moving.

I have seen him, his attraction IS that he is not perfect.  I see "higher bars" everyday of the week. Attraction doesn't work like that, well not for me. Potential partners have the same opportunity as George, treat all mankind as equals. jmo.

Don't for a minute underestimate friendship on the forum, it took me by surprise.  I have equal respect for the ppl here as I do for George's work.

What are you here for?  
I could watch TV, I travel alot, I could watch TV in a different language, I could read a book or watch a movie or flick through a magazine... I prefer to check in here, is it so bad? Am I not embracing the times I live in .... It is no different to belonging to a "garden club" where we would discuss seeds and plants.  I think it's called like minded ppl.  I am greatly inspired by George, so we discuss him and that leads to discussing life in general.  I learn from George everyday ... but ALSO from my friends here too. Bizarre or f****** what. As I said before "don't overthink it".

Do you believe you are really in love with someone you have never seen or will see? Nope. Not in love with George Clooney. Never was, but I do like the man (based on what I think he's like, anyway.)

Would or does it stop you from persueing other relationships? Do your feelings for GC stop you from moving in other directions with other people? Nope. Oddly, in some ways it's helped me out in my relationships. It gives me a better idea of what I'm looking for, and quite honestly, outlined what I don't want in a man.

I think that would be a little sad for anyone if they're judging their partner against an imaginary ideal.

What are you here for? Well there's the Dorothea question! You'd think that as the owner of a fan site I'd have a good answer to that, but I don't really.

I've been a fan for a long time and George has been at times my imaginary partner for when I've been single and he's a good fantasy to have, I think. He does a lot of interesting stuff and always keeps the door open to new things in his life. I like watching him change and grow and I like the projects he's involved in.

But for me, mostly the last few years are as much about the friends here online as about George. There's a great bunch of people and while I'm always fascinated to know what George is up to now, I also love the conversations I have with other fans here too.

Thanks everyone for sharing...its really great to hear how your thinking and get to know you all at little bit better.
