oh thanks Joanna...... in Germany the Oscar transmission starts on a Sunday night in early instead. So in a few hours. I'm curious. But I am sure that these two actors will get an Oscar.

George has NOT been nominated for ANYTHING. So he has no chance of winning an Oscar tomorrow night. He has never gone before when he has NOT been nominated for something. Anyone expecting him there will probably turn blue holding their breath waiting for him. OR, he will be Sandy's date!!!

yes you're right. But let's wait. Perhaps he's gone along with Sandra Bullock as attendant.They're friends, and as Sandra Bullock goes not alone he might be there. And if he can not come to me I'll cook him a genuine Italian espresso. And then we see the Oscar ceremony on together.

I like Michael Fassbender becasuse he's a half-German and, just like me, a big fan of F1 legend Michael Schumacher who is in coma now for 2 months...#GetwellsoonMichael
I know you guys in America don't watch Formula One...But this year's zero-nominated film Rush is about F1...which I don't like because I don't like Niki Lauda who kinda forced Michael's retirement in a way and other selfish issues...he even attended this year's Golden Globe...He is NOT like the person in the film!
Michael Fassbender has attended many races before just supporting Michael,but the racing Michael didn't even know the acting Michael at first...George does know Michael Fassbender...so he's like a link between my two idols...however I hope Gravity will win over 12 years...while Michael doesn't seem to have a chance of beating Jared.

I would like 'American Hustle' to be completely shut out. I don't get the hype. The performances were good, and the design/costuming was fun, but the story sucks big time. To me, that's not a good movie, good screenplay, or good direction. And none of the actors, though as I said were good, gave better performances than the other nominees in their categories.

I don't really know what I'm talking about. Once it's turned over to the voters, it's a crapshoot. Your guess is as good as mine.

The rain is intermittent Joanna but it is colder than normal.

The local ABC station has a doppler radar map of the rain.  It updates every few minutes.

Here we go, my Oscar night ritual;

Red tartan pyjamas (with plenty of elastic).
Pint of Guiness and bucket of Tayto crisps .... I always imagine that those impossibly beautiful creatures would change places with me in the blink of an eye, if only they could.      

WWHS - I like the "with plenty of elastic" part. Better to be comfortable I say! :-)

Saw August; Osage COunty. Wasn't crazy about the movie as I didn';t need to watch a family constantly bickering for two hours, but I did think that Meryl did a phenomenal job playing her character. I feel that she should get the best actress award.

Yay for Gravity! Oscar for Visual Effects!

George was mentioned along with Sandra. The other nominees in this category were great too. The visual effects carried this film over the acting by far and what really made this movie sell. I thought Ellen wasn't so funny and off her game. Overall the show is boring by previous show standards.

It isn't so bad....she kept the opening short...it would move much faster if they took out a lot of talk....
