GC featured in the My Loves and Hates page in this issue. Sorry, I cannot scan. Loves listed: practical jokes, long lunches, my late pot-bellied pig Max, Lake Comp. Hates:marriage, headaches, loss of privacy, guns. Each has a short blurb with it. Includes a short interview and one photo of GC (in tux).

Are you the womaniser we all think you are?
If I had been with all the women that I was said to have been with, I wouldn't have had the time to shoot a single movie! If people see me having dinner with a beautiful woman, they immediately believe that I'm having a love affair with her. Of course that's rubbish. I'm not a playboy!

My loves

Lake Como. I love it there. The local people treat me very well and as one of their own. It's all about food and wine and women and the beauty of being there.

Motorbikes. I enjoy going on motorcycle trips and stopping in small towns and enjoying drinks with the locals. My friends and I all love riding motorcycles and we go on tours together. We made it all the way to the German Alps.

Ageing. I love my grey hair and wrinkles. I love the fact that my face has more of an edge and more character than it did when I was in my twenties and thirties. No botox for me.

Drinking. My favourite tipple is an Absolut Vodka and soda, which some bartender somewhere has christened a ‘Clooney'. I don't know whether to be slightly ashamed – or honoured!

My hates

The gym. There are people who go to a gym and burn off what they want to in 30 minutes – fine for them. Frenetic gym activity isn't for me.

Batman and Robin (1997) It was a really bad film – a great lesson in humility. I learned two things – never make a vanity blockbuster and never ever appear in a rubber suit with nipples!

Security men. I loathe having minders when I go to premieres and black tie ceremonies.

Learning Italian. My Italian still sucks! It's not only the grammar I need to work on, but the pronunciation. The Italians still think I'm inventing my own strange dialect!

This posted interview from the web site is different from the printed magazine. For example, for Lake Como the print issue says," As soon as I set foot in Laglio, I feel at peace. I GET to do some work, ride my motorcycle, and it still leaves plenty of time for food and drink."

Old or new COHers take note.  So that the next time he's out to dinner and a woman happens to be sitting at a table with 10 other people, don't immediately go off the deep end thinking it's HIS new woman!

Thank you Mr. Clooney for reiterating AGAIN that just breaking bread with a woman doesn't mean you're dating her!!

WWHS - I'm with you - A "how-to" thread would be great. It's all I can do to type a post! (I know it's pathetic, but I'm really computer illiterate and none of the online instructions I've found answer the questions I have. My luck, I'm probably asking the wrong questions.) Crying or Very sad

A lot of the Public Libraries give free or next to free basic instructions on the computer. Call to see if they still do in NY. I took a lot of advanced classes at my local colleges. xxx

Actually I major in Electronic Information Engineering, and am about to study SIP (signal and information processing) for a master degree, so I have to be well known of all the image processings. Though I'm just a beginner at this field.Trying to figure out how to process an image or any signals... Mad

Mazy - Thanks for the advice. I've already tried my local library, but they don't give instruction. The local college is going to be my next step if I can't find what I need online. (It's kind of a pain in the neck to get to so I'm trying to find something more convenient). Thanks again.

@Katie...you are an absolute darling !

I will indeed use the link Katie... Kind of you to provide it, I had a quick look but I will have to drop in later, as still a bit complicated...I need a lot more time. Heartening to see you stumbled on the same jump!

What I really should have said is just how amazing othere ppl computer skills are.

The pictures Jo has featured, and the scanning which Seven has provided leave me breathless ... Oh if only I could! Let alone the continueing body of work by LLIHH.

So many truly talented ppl on here ... some of it's bound to rub off eventually.

Sevens - Just because he hates the gym doesn't mean he doesn't work out. He has a gym in his home and I remember reading somewhere that he works out on a regular basis. He probably eats pretty healthily, too - lots of salads and fish - not too much fattening food. I think he's like a lot of actors and is very conscious of his weight, as the camera adds pounds on screen.

LizzyNY, you're from NY right? That's why you got that name?
Honestly I really enjoy talking with you guys. I've learned a lot from the way you speak.
Haven't touched my grammar book since high school. I guess George Clooney has been my best English teacher ever since my entering college. You just cannot resist trying to understand what he's saying in that sexy voice! On screen and off screen. That's for listening and speaking.Coolio
Then I read the articles and interviews about him which got me here,  writing about him everyday. Guess I don't need to read the Economist or any other magzines my teacher once recommended. I've got my fair share from all the Clooney read. cheers

Sevens besides everything else George is a big fan of playing basketball. Also bike riding and running, guess it depends on what location he is in. While filming he had to use the indoor facilities because of the weather. It's in one thread here about him having the place privately early in the morning, no one else was aloud in. xxx
