George Clooney - nail biter?

I wanted to share with you some of my impressions of the beautiful photos, but you look carefully enlarged? I've seen your hands of George, his thumb is stripped. Ok he has a habit of biting the cuticle but in some photos you will see his injured thumb ................... no, I do not think he is the man serene and happy that we want to dream!

I have always said here is something underneath that seems to quietly nag at him. I had a friend that always made people smile and laugh saying it was the best medicine. Not many knew how bad her own depression was.

I many times I think I see see that undercurrent with George and it saddens me. When I feel like he seems happy that's how I feel, love him so it affects how I feel.  You are very observant because in one photo which they enlarged just his hand and it is either injured or is full of arthritis. Or it could be RSD my right hand is like that and not too pretty. I pray for him every night.

Now that I think about it this is the one that got slammed in the car door I think. So I sure it has arthritis in it.

In case you're all wondering, I moved these posts to a separate thread. Thought it might be easier to find again in future.

FWIW, I don't think there's anything wrong with his hand. His middle knuckle is slightly larger than others but that's quite normal.

The raw bites on this thumb on the other hand . . .

I think he does that when he's concentrating when working or writing or whatever. Maybe also got a bit tense and nervous before VFF.

I think he picks his cuticles --not bites his nails. The nails in the photo above are not biten like a nail biter (I see my daughter's every day!). I have seen him pick his cuticles in interviews.

It appears as if he has some sort of allergic dermatitis. A little too deep for cuticle picking. His nails are fine. He doesn't appear to be nervous type. But i do agree, not all is well for people who always smile. He appears to brooding over something that is nagging him, for quite sometime now.

As long as it´s just nail biting and not lips (like some people  do)
or make funny faces and snort like horses when anxious, I guess it´s ok...

I agree with you Fava I believe too he might picks his cuticles bit does not bite it.

To be honest maybe it is not something we think off. Maybe it has no meaning and he has just dry hands. This is what I have if I don't cream my hands all the time I get dry hands and when I have lot's of work to do I forgot to cream my hands so after a while I get really dry skin at my thumb and middle finger and than automatically I start to pick my cuticles. Can look agly and bloody and than I start using hand cream again and after a while it's gone.  So maybe that's really what it is and not more.

My vote goes to BIG momma. Maybe after all, he´ll find her insanely sexy, previously those types didn´t catch his eyes, but now... A lot to be explored. Something entirely new!

Forget about the nails, this is the disruption he has been waiting, like an big earthquake and he´ll do all the sacrifices necessary to be with her.

Poor thing

I cured my long standing nail biting, started as a child - now have the most glorious long nails - he is not a nail bite echo that sentiment, picking cuticles however is very common but hurts more - it may be something he subconsciously does and doesn't intend for it to get so messy and yuck.
