Hello fellow fans! I've been lurking this site since summer when my umpteenth George Clooney crush hit me again in July. I've liked George ever since I watched O Brother Where Art Thou? when my mother was bitten by the Clooney love bug back in 2001, but I myself wasn't bitten until February 2006 when I started seeing George on all the award shows and I checked out ER for the first time when it was still showing reruns on TNT (I turned it on and it was in the middle of The Long Way Around, I've been hooked since).

George has just nearly spoiled all other male actors/celebrities for me. Like his Miles character says to Marylin in Intolerable Cruelty, "You fascinate me."

That he does indeed.

I think George is a very nice guy and i really love his voice. And i love this forum.

I really admire all the posters for whom English is not their native language. They really make themselves understood. I have trouble with English which is my native language. I don't think I would even try communicating in Spanish and I studied it for 4 years in school.

Hello, i´m new. my name is kathrin and i´m from germany.
and sorry my englisch ist not the best. its the first time for me after school, to write in english.
i like george since the first time i see him as dr. ross on er.
i think his voice and his political/ social commitment the reasons for my enthusiasm for him. My favourite films are the oceans triology.
i´am 30 years old, live in rostock and have two cats. i work as a social worker in a hospital.
a feew days before i found this site and i love it. so thanks a lot fo this.

Hello everyone! My name is Cubanita and I'm addicted to George Clooney I've been a big fan of his for years - since back in the Falconer days I admire him greatly - his acting / directing work, and most of all his charitable work.

Hi everyone. I just joined COH just over a week ago. Really enjoy the back and forth amongst all of you. And some really good info and history about dear, dear George. I've been a fan of his since his ER days. In fact have the first six seasons of ER on DVD and occasionally go back and watch them to get my early George fix. The first five years of ER were the best cause of him. I like that all of you respect each other's opinions and support George. I had joined another GC fan forum recently thinking the people posting were true Clooney fans. I was really disappointed by all of the negativity towards him, especially since his engagement to Amal. And I was really upset about what was being said about her. There is so little that we really know about her but she a lovely and very intelligent woman and I would like to give her the benefit of the doubt. It was so funny to read one of the posts ... can't remember who it was but she said she was at the Newseum program that George attended to view Goodnight and Good Luck. His dad was the moderator. It was a great evening. I was there too. And thought it was hilarious that the poster went up to the stage to get his autograph and when asked for a pen she dug into her purse and mistakingly pulled out a tampon

As you say, Clooney's Open House is a terrific forum:  so many great posts, interesting posters --who run the gamut from sweet to sassy-- and excellent moderation.  I bid you welcome as I head out at the door.  Engaged fellows are pretty much off my lust list and married ones definitely are. Removing "Turning Down a Pass From George Clooney" from my Bucket List.  L'Affaire de L'Produit Féminin will have to suffice.  At least I will always have "the eyebrows"...
