Thanks SG.
Well, if there was ever a piece of footage to show how long the filming process can take, it was this one. It'll be inteesting to see how many nanominutes of the film it takes up.
Subtitle: Are we nearly there yet?
Or: Are we in the wrong place?
Or: Where are all the others then?

Re: George Clooney filming in Rye
Nope, playful.
The beach landings filmed there last week were supposed to be, I think, part of the World War II landings in Northern France, and much of Rye last week had the signage changed to French outside the shop etc.
It's a beautiful little place and I can quite see why Our Hero likes it, given his choice of home design

Harry Parkinson
Published on 16/06/2013 06:00
A SCHOOLBOY rubbed shoulders with film stars George Clooney and Bill Murray after being cast in an upcoming Hollywood movie.
Harry Parkinson, 10, landed an extras part in Monuments Men, which was filmed in Rye last week causing a buzz of excitement among people keen to get a glimpse of A-list actors.
The Silverdale School pupil, of St Helens Road, said he was thrilled to be given the chance to take part in the filming, and because of the experience, wants to be a Hollywood actor when he grows up.
Harry said: “It was fun and we did quite a bit of filming. I met lots of the actors and was able to speak to them.
“I wasn’t expecting to get the part. George (Clooney) was very kind to me when he was directing the bit I was in.
“I would like to be an actor when I’m older and star in a James Bond film.”
Harry attends Hastings Stage Studio performing arts school where he has studied acting, singing and dancing since he was three.
He has appeared in many of the school’s performances in that time including Pirate Day, the Olympics Ceremonies, Beatles Day, and the studio’s pantomime Dick Whittington at the Phoenix Arts Centre.
The film’s casting director asked Hastings Stage Studio directors John and Vanessa Pohlhammer to put forward several of their talented pupils for the movie role and Harry was chosen.
Harry plays the son of a butcher who runs into his shop to deliver something.
His dad, Des, a nurse at the Conquest Hospital, said: “Harry’s friends at school have been really excited for him. He plays the guitar and kept quiet about his singing and dancing until recently. Harry had his own trailer on the set and the actors were very accommodating to him.”
The cast and production team of Monuments Men, which is directed by Clooney, filmed in Rye and its surroundings last Thursday (June 6).
As well as Clooney and Murray, the movie stars big names like Matt Damon and Cate Blanchett.
Filming took place at Camber and Winchelsea, as well as the Strand and Strand Quay area of Rye last Friday (June 7).
Monuments Men is a war-time thriller about an Allied group tasked with saving pieces of art and other culturally important items before their destruction by Hitler.
Locals were confronted with a crashed German Messerschmitt on Camber Sands and an empty antiques shop at Rye’s Strand being converted into what appeared to be a butcher’s shop.
Filming also took place at Winchelsea where the interior of the New Inn had been painstakingly converted to resemble a 1940s pub.
Production of Monuments Men started in Germany in early March and it is due to be released in cinemas on December 18. Scenes have also been shot in Cambridgeshire.
