I saw somewhere else that Nick and Nina are in Berlin with George and went out to dinner at the Grille, so I wonder if Stacy is on her way for a family reunion?

Gosh, I bet his parents will be fascinated by this film - but waited for better weather - and I wonder about Clooney Sr's possible involvement in voice-overs........

There are pics - depends if anyone buys them if we are going to see them. Early birthday present?? Maybe they have something on back home around 7th so they made an early trip.
Link EXCLUSIVE: George Clooney having dinner with his parents Nick Clooney and Nina Warren at a restaurant in Berlin.
Released 21st April 2013
How many years have they been married and they still call her Nina Warren? Also George should just move into that restaurant he is there so often.
And I do think Stacy is on her way - he is following the same pattern he had with Betts during Descendants. One week together, four weeks apart. She was spotted back in the states on 27th March after the last visit. The week long visit is enough to keep the press at bay but not long enough together where he might have to make an effort.

The Clooney smile in a triple pack
The parents of George Clooney are in the city and on Monday the junior looked at his job.
Even more radiant Clooney faces in our city. Oscar smiled proudly as Nick (78) and Nina (73), when they visited their son-Sexiest-alive on Monday at work.
Completely unpretentious with nylon backpack new director had strolled into the Renaissance Theatre, this week is the venue for his World War II epic "The Monument's Men" next to the Oberwaltungsgerichtegebäude at the zoo. Several hours of watching mom and dad at the junior to his job. As early Saturday in Royal Grill, George (51), a parents' evening long.

Ok who reads lips?
I'd love to be a fly on that wall to hear what Nick had to say. He's funny as hell and so well read and has had such a wide variety of experiences in his lifetime that spending an evening at dinner with him would be fascinating!

What’s the difference they are both intrusive?
Did you watch the video? If people did not watch them there would be no need for them.
As for spying a group of people outside of a restaurant with video cameras and cameras is not quite spying, I am sure George and party saw them and knew they were there. I am sure they have become use to it weather it bothers them or not.

So you will look at stills of George in a restaurant, on his boat, at a hotel pool, riding his bike,etc... but not a video?
So what’s the difference they are both intrusive.

Well if there had been a forbidden thing going on, the restaurant would not have permitted it. Could have pulled their shades down. I think if she had been there, they would def have tried to get some pics of her at least, if not in video. This was a private dinner with a little largesse allowed with the video. Think maybe they knew it might happen when going out with him. He is their son after all, and they are very proud of him. And a line of ppl outside watching and prolly hoping for autographs, I think its a clue that it was kind of like an event for most watchers.

Re: Nick and Nina in Berlin with George Clooney
Maybe if he didn't always go to the same restaurant, he wouldn't have so many pics taken. Aren't there several restaurants at the Soho where he is staying. I think he's used to it and, as Watching and many others have pointed out, I see very little difference between the photos people take on their phones or the video. And I don't think any of us can take the high road by suggesting we're somehow better because we only look at the photos and not the "spy videos."

Re: Nick and Nina in Berlin with George Clooney
Being a husband or wife isn't necessarily all its cracked up to be anyhow. I think number one reason for a good relationship is love and understanding with a lot of patience, forgiveness. Same as with marrieds. Marriage makes ppl feel very secure. But then that can be a grab bag full of blinds. Getting too used to things being a certain way and suddenly you realize one day, it really wasn't that way at all.
But alot of ppl take too many things for granted when they get married. Relationships are the stuff you put into them. Not what you imagine them to be at all. Thats why ppl get divorced a lot. because they realize they really hadn't thought too many things out before getting married and don't want to do all the work necessary to save the relationship.
Its work, in any relationship, after its past the first glow of "excitement" and "learning all about your new best friend". Then you need to consider what you have, what you both want and is it still good, with work?

I think part of that has to do with both of them seeming to have a really great sense of humor.
Nick is a great story-teller and he's funny. George mentioned it during an interview about how when his dad is in the room, the whole room is roaring in laughter from what his dad is saying.
And I've read a bunch of Nick's columns and not only were they often very entertaining, they were full of info that you would never know. From those that I did read I learned a lot about our country's history and I was often laughing out loud at what he had written.
Nina too, I feel is a very intelligent woman who must have had the patience of Job and a good sense of humor herself.
But the most important thing that I think has made their marriage endure - is that I get the feeling that they both believe marriage is forever and you'd better make the most of it cause you're in it for the long haul.
I agree with JoanieJD who said that marriage also means having a lot of "patience and forgiveness."

They look like lovely people. I agree Lorna, Nina looks like such a love. And Nick looks like he's a hoot. George seems to get his looks and that concern for others from his mom and his sense of humor and life of the party aspect of his personality from his dad. He looks so happy and relaxed when he's around them.

Re: Nick and Nina in Berlin with George Clooney
Well in my case, something Im very short on is patience but learning to do better with forgiveness, so who knows. I can only speak for myself but when I married hubby after 7 years together, 4 of them living with him, I absolutely (thought) knew what I was getting into. Not entirely a true statement at the time, as of course we all change and mature, little by little. However, I do think that if you take the time to remember that you chose this one person to marry above all others, then a lot of issues can be worked out easily enough. Maybe seems simple but I think not forgetting goes a long way... and a sense of humour definitely absolutely crucial!!
I think with Nick and Nina there is mutual respect there, some compromise and a great sense of humour, I bet they talk all the time and because they want too...very lovely couple..

Well, LD, I had that honor two years ago when Nick gave a lecture at my University. Since I knew the woman professor that went to NKU with George years ago, I was able to sit across the table from them. Nick definately has the gift of gab, and I was surprised that he was able to finish his dinner in a timely manner.
