Hard to believe it was an event unless she got dressed there. Driver looks like he is about 19...

Stacy looks awkward in these photos, it seems to want to hide. Where is her usual smile for the paparazzi? The paps have probably photographed in a romantic evening with another man? I'd understand if it were so, George sees him with a dropper and Apple did not invent the application to make love from a distance!

I am with all of you. If this whole thing is innocent, which I am sure it probably was, then why hide your face and act all shy? Her actions make it appear she has something to hide. Just be truthful and get on with it. Why must people feel the need to always deceive or play stupid games? The saying, "the truth will set you free" is the best statement because it's true!

The Chateau is quite exclusive for meals at any time so the way Stace looks (casual) seems odd for the restaurant. You normally have to book in advance (unless your Georgie!!). It's supposed to be quite a cultural spot for yesteryear Hollywood steeped in tradition and vintage items inside! Never got to go...boohoo!!!

Nobody goes to the Chateau Marmont to not be seen. Showing up there and then covering your face is oxymoronic behavior. I sense some game playing here, and someone is not very good at it.

...Which might mean she's not really hiding but wants to look like she is. Or that she intended to be seen as not intending to be seen.

Still, you're right, it could be fuss over nothing. Except that everyone knows that when you're dating George Clooney, there's very little that gets treated as 'nothing.' SK knows that as well as anyone.

If she put up the other hand you wouldn't see the ring...she keeps playing the ring game to get attention yet no one is falling for it ...poor girl!

Seems to me like we have found the body that is attached to the hairy feet snuggling up to her in the slipper picture on Instagram. Stacy you got busted!!!

Hands are probably up because neither one of them can see a damn thing with all the paps flash bulbs. If you've never been in front of multiple paps taking flash pictures of you at night then you won't know what I mean. But those flashbulbs are blinding.

The guy has his hand up because he probably can't see and gad forbid he run over a pap who got in front of his car!

Have to agree with Lorna on the flashbulb thing. After viewing some of the videos of George and Stacy coming and going, I don't know how they keep their eyes open at all. Seems like a natural response to all the flashes.

As far as not wanting to be seen and going to the place in town people go to be seen--I've got nothing. Way2Old is right... Unless she went there for work. Then, I could see her feeling like, "gimme a break!" Otherwise, she had to know she'd be papped.

she's not the brightest bulb and she did remove the picture from Instagram pretty quickly. The event at Chateau Marmont was a cocktail party and she definitely isn't dressed for that.

Joanna, didn't see those plastic cups before but they make me think that this was a work trip. Maybe they were filming or are going to film a segment of her new show at the club?

She wears a ring on her wedding ring finger often when she's not out with no George. I don't care enough to bother to check whether it's the same ring or if she just likes putting rings on that finger, but I understand she's been doing it since before she met George.

I wonder how many here were misled by the 'journalist' reporting the story which says she was trying to hide her face. What if the headline had said 'Stacy blinded by paparazzi flashes at night' instead?

Or perhaps just didn't want to be photographed with little makeup on?

Although a lot less dramatic, it does seem to be more likely to be true. Remember, the person who wrote the headline wasn't there and doesn't know any more about what happened than we do.

If she's hiding her face then she's doing a remarkably poor job of it, using the wrong hand and not covering her face at all. At least Elisabetta when she played this game held up her handbag in front of her face to cover it completely.

I'd guess from the way she's dressed, she's got a casual meeting or something. Although who knows what she has on under her scarf and jacket-y thing? Could be suitable for dinner at restaurant. Hell, could be a bikini for a wild pool party.

It definitely looks like she's just shielding her eyes from all those flashing light bulbs. The guy driving her is doing the same thing. And, I doubt he's a boy friend. He looks like he's driving her period.

Well I hate to be a wet blanket on the conspiracy theories but I think this guy visited George and Stacy in Como last summer. I'm fairly certain that he was pictured on the boat launch, either arriving or leaving Como. I know I've seen him before with Stacy and I think they are just friends.
