Phillip Schofield beats George Clooney to 'Sexiest Silver Fox'

The This Morning presenter was voted the most attractive man with grey hair in a poll run by My Celebrity Fashion. George Clooney was voted into second place, while The Only Way Is Essex star Mick Norcross landed in third place. Harrison Ford, Matt LeBlanc and US presidential candidate Mitt Romney also found their way into the top ten.

Over 1,150 women aged over 18 were asked which grey-haired celebrities they found the sexiest, with a photo selection of so-called 'silver foxes'.

When asked what they found attractive in men with grey hair, 51% stated that it made men look "more mature", while 24% said they looked more "sophisticated".

Editor Bobbie Malpass said of the results: "It's great to see that grey-haired celebrities are considered as 'sexy' by the majority of British women; the silver fox look is obviously something us ladies like!

"Dying your hair can sometimes look very unnatural and superficial. Men should not be ashamed of their grey hair as it is recognised as a sexy trait by women all around the UK - the list says it all!

"On the other hand, it looks like grey hair is only a trend amongst male celebrities. Women tend to want to cover grey hair as soon as it appears, but perhaps one day older female celebrities will learn to embrace it!"
