Lisa Snowdon splits from boyfriend

George Clooney's ex Lisa Snowdon has split from her latest boyfriend after just eight months.
The model and radio presenter was dating footballer Jay Bothroyd but her rep has confirmed that she is now single after they recently split up.
It's claimed she will now be flying off on holiday to get over the split.
A spokesperson for the star confirmed the news to MailOnline and Lisa also addressed the split in a new magazine interview, saying: 'Life happens.'
Snowdon, 39, started dating Bothroyd, 28, in October last year.
Today (Friday) she wrote a message on Twitter telling her fans she was off on holiday.
She said: 'Off on holiday tomorrow Tweetfam… Got a million things to do after the show. The list is as long as my arm! Will I get thru it all?!

She spoke of how her and George were a normal couple. Eating take out and farting like everyone else. There was also a story about her having sex with George and a necktie was involved. Lisa was always quite chatty and you always knew when she and George were getting together cause she let everyone know! My favourite story was George dressing in white suit and having rose petals everywhere to propose to her can't remember who started that one but it was funny!

Thats the story but I think it was red roses and a white suit! None of us believed it because there is no way she would have said no! We knew she was like the others when she got sick and he never went to visit her. Girl is very chatty we found out a lot about their dating cause she was on a show and chatted about it of course she never said his name. LOL Also went through the I don't want to get married or have kids, she flip flopped too always near the end. Last time around he looked pretty unhappy and she seemed oblivious to his pain.

You wouldn't believe it looking at these pictures but Lisa Snowdon came to our shoot straight off the plane. Not just any old plane, mind. This was a sleek, swanky private jet that George hired to take her from Las Vegas to Los Angeles. (She's with George in Vegas right now while he films the new Spielberg movie there.) Usually Lisa divides her time between London, where she presents her MTV programme, and Hollywood, where she canoodles with her A-list man. Not bad for an Essex girl, eh?

Born and bred in Loughton, Lisa met George last September on the set of a Martini commercial and they've been dating happily ever since. Here, Lisa lets LOOKS in on her glamous lifestyle, as she gives us a tour of her and George's favourite LA haunts...

Just up the road, about five minues away, is our next stop on the tour -

The Standard Hotel - *the* hotel of choice for young Hollywood, media and music people. 'This place has a really cool vibe. I love the pool, the decor and the twenty-four hour diner', Lisa enthuses. 'In fact whenever our English friends come over, they always stay here.' Indeed. On that very day we ran into Fatboy Slim eating in the diner and on an earlier trip we found Sarah Jessica Parker et al filming Sexand the City in the lobby. Interesting fact: it's also just across the road from the bar where the 'bucking bronco' episode of Sex and the City was filmed. How much cooler can you get?

On the way to our next destination, Lisa stops the car to show us something else - a street called Crescent Heights. 'George's personal assistant, Amy, actually grew up on this street. I've known her for five or six months now.' Lisa says.

'I really like it round here because it's quiet, yet really near the centre of the city. You really get to see how the other half live. 'I love cruising down this road in the Jeep with the music blaring and lots of friends.'

After that, we head for Elixir, a herbal drink cafe. 'When I get off the plane at LAX airport, I come straight here for a recharge.' says Lisa. 'The little Japanese Zen garden outside is really peaceful for reading and it's great that you can smoke out here too. It's really hard to find anywhere in LA where you're allowed to smoke.

George and I normally go for smoothies but it's good to come here to get the really healthy shots like wheatgrass and gingseng as well.' Turning down the healthy drinks, we decide to move on to a real bar - the Kass Bah on Melrose, famous for it's Salsa nights. It's great in here, really low key and cool. We come here for drinks sometimes.

At last, we get a chance to catch up on the gossip. So, is there any truth in the rumours going to move to LA to be with her beau? 'No! Well, not at the moment anyway; I've got a good contract with MTV in the UK to move,' she says. But doesn't she miss George when she's back in Essex? 'Well, yes. The worst thing about going out with him is the distance.' And the best? (Apart from the obvious!) 'Well, he's just such a really cool guy and we get on really well.' As for the shopping, she likes buying clothes in LA but they don't hit the stores together. 'I buy my own clothes!' she laughs. She does, however, admit to being 'very spoilt' over Christmas when George gave her diamond earrings and a diamond necklace (she's wearing them on the shoot). What does George like her to wear though? (She was wearing a skin-tight catsuit when they first met.) 'Anything! He's very chilled so we ust kick back in jeans and casual tops most of the time.' So that's it folks, not only has Lisa got Hollywood's most gorgeous guy, but he buys her diamonds and doesn't care if she hangs out in trackie bottoms and an old T-shirt. Some girls have all the luck."

Will Jay Bothroyd be a Premier League hit with QPR?

FORMER Cardiff striker Jay Bothroyd had offers from all across Europe, including one from Lisa Snowdon, but opted to sign for QPR instead.

Bothroyd left Cardiff as a free agent after splitting with model Snowdon. When the name Snowdon is mentioned most people automatically think Mount Snowdon and Bothroyd, to his credit, managed to complete the task.

Looking back at last season it’s fair to say it was a good one for Bothroyd.

One international cap, 20 goals, and a super-model. It’s what George Best did in an average week.

At least Lisa can now drop her unwanted title of “George Clooney’s ex-girlfriend”. She’ll now be known as Jay Bothroyd’s ex-girlfriend, to everyone Bothroyd meets.

It remains to be seen whether Bothroyd can step up in class and perform in the Premier League but then you can’t help thinking he’s already done that with Snowdon.

Victor Chandler offer 6-4 for Bothroyd to score 10 or more goals in the Premier League next season

And that's where Capital Radio's breakfast show presenter Lisa Snowdon has firmly laid the blame for her lack of a love life.
The 39-year-old posed in a bikini for a new set of shots in Hello! Magazine where she explained the difficulty she has meeting people because of her unsociable working hours.

Posing in a halterneck white one-piece bikini Lisa told the magazine that she rarely goes out because of her job.

She said: 'I go to the supermarket. I go to work. So there aren't many opportunities to meet people. Unless you're kind of bonding over the deli counter, it's not going to happen.'
Lisa split from her last boyfriend, Queens Park Rangers footballer Jay Bothroyd, last month saying her working hours meant they struggled to spend time together.

But Lisa, who counts Hollywood hunk George Clooney among her ex-lovers, also revealed that despite finding it difficult to meet someone she is perfectly happy being single for the moment.
She admitted: 'I don't feel like my life is incomplete. I don't feel like a man defines who I am. I'm not lonely. I have great friends and I'm really close to my family.'
On the subject of children, she admits she may never have them, saying she is "not sure that's for me anymore".
The star said she was still "friends" with her former love Clooney.
She said: 'I can't really speak on his behalf, but my feeling is that he did get married, he did try it and it didn't work, so maybe he won't do it again.'
But Lisa also recently revealed that she won't be getting back together with Clooney.

Yep. Before she dated George she went out with another actor - Gary Dourdan (sp?) or something like that - and at the time she wanted children. Then she went out with George and suddenly didn't want children. They broke up and she wanted marrage and a family, they got back together and she didn't want kids . . . .

Lucy, I do understand t hat. When I was younger, I wanted to have kids. As right now, I'm 31 and I don't want not because I don't like kids, but right now I am completely focused in my career. I don't think I will change my mind, but you never know.

As you and katiedot said, whenever he is dating, his girlfriend of the time being changes her mind in getting married and having kids. But then the reason for splitting up it's because she wants marriage and kids... For the amount of info said on her personal life ad, it seems like a bunch of BS to catch the next victim... Sorry, but it's how it came off to me.

ps: I like her swimsuit. I have one similar, but it has black polka dots on it, Smile
