The Great Date Debate: George Clooney vs Johnny Depp

The consummate Gentleman and one of Hollywood’s few bad boys left in the industry–not much needs to be said about these two A-list actors. Simply, women want them and men want to be them. Their success in the movie industry is only rivaled by their ability to captivate the minds of women across the world.

Both of these actors made their transition from television into movies a great success. Today, Elite Daily pits both iconic men against each other to see which man lives his life in a manner we can all aspire towards.

Round 1: The Supermodel
Elisabetta Canalis (Clooney)
Kate Moss (Depp)

Winner: Johnny Depp – We don’t know what’s worse, a girlfriend with a cocaine addiction or a girlfriend who attempts to force you away from your passions in life. As men, would we rather deal with Kate Moss’ constant reports of embarrassing cocaine use or a power hungry and controlling girlfriend? Canalis had reportedly given Clooney an ultimatum in their relationship: forcing him to choose between spending time with her or with his prized posession, his boat on Lake Como. Both men had it pretty rough with this one. What did we learn? Cocaine addictions can be kicked, but being a controlling crazy is forever.

Round 2: The Crazy Girl
Pink (Clooney)
Winona Ryder (Depp)
Winner: George Clooney – We could have never seen the Clooney & Pink relationship coming, but I guess everyone finds the rebel personality appealing at one time or another. We still can’t get over that shoplifting incident, Winona. If you’re going to be a crazy one, be outright about your intentions and actions. Don’t try to hide the red flags from us. Pink has got it all figured out in that department.

Round 3: The American Nobody
Lori Anne Allison (Depp)
Sarah Larson (Clooney)

Winner: Johnny Depp – Who hasn’t always dreamed of marrying their high school sweetheart? Johnny Depp’s first marriage was that to his band mate’s sister when he was 20. Can you blame him for being a hopeless romantic? We all are guilty of being one every now and then. As for Clooney and his American pedestrian, Sarah Lahson, we hate to say we told you so. The laws of man stand true — You can’t turn a ho into a housewife. What he was ever doing with this lush Lahson is beyond us. We thought you were so much better than that, Mr. Clooney.


Round 4: The Actresses

Vanessa Paradis (Depp)
Jennifer Grey Rerris (Depp)
Renée Zellweger (Clooney)
Salma Hayek (Clooney)
Julia Roberts (Clooney)

Winner: George Clooney - George Clooney bulldozes Johnny Depp in this division. Depp’s connection to these relatively forgettable actresses is no match for Clooney’s star power alongside Selma Hayak and Julia Roberts. Hayak has a body that we would beg to wake up next to, and Julia Roberts is virtually incomparable in Hollywood. We miss the Clooney/Roberts power couple. It was one of the few things a man could aspire for.

Conclusion:
Johnny Depp and George Clooney are among Hollywood’s Elite, but when it comes to preference of women we must side with Johnny Depp. We’re still a little old fashioned and prefer quality over quantity. Depp’s eclectic and honest taste in women is something we can all truly admire. George Clooney seems as though he may spring after more women then we’d ever dream of. With his current relationship with former WWE wrestler, Stacy Kiebler, we can only wonder what’s going on in Clooney’s head. Although his numbers are impressive, we still can never forgive Clooney for his link to the American pedestrian, Lahson. Teuf.
