George Clooney advertising Police sunglasses

Poor David Beckham has been dropped from a sunglass advertisement after asking for too much dough. It seems the $3 million he was paid to promote the Police brand of shades wasn't enough for the soccer player, whose weekly pay cheque from Manchester United is in the range of $250,000. The British Vogue website reports that George Clooney, who has a $9 million deal to promote the glasses to the rest of the world, will pick up the slack in the UK and Japan, too, now that Becks has been dumped.
