Pic here of George at the James Whelan Butchers in Clonmel. This was posted today. If it's recent, he shaved. I can't get the picture to copy.

Yes, I saw that too on a twitter page, EEO, but I wasn't sure if there was one image superimposed on another or a bit photo-shopping going on. It didn't look right, but I could be wrong

Oh, the Irish are having lots of fun with this - suggesting Irish Rail should put on more trains, and organising coach trips to Cobh. Very George!............

I posted it, but I'm not sure it's legit either. It doesn't look like the most recent "George"

Where their arms meet looks a bit wonky also. I have to wonder what George would be doing in a butcher shop. I bet he already has the beef. I want to know where the man is dammit!

I showed the picture to my neighbor, who is a web designer, he agrees with you, it looks photo-shopped.

Apparently GTC went into a vintage clothes shop in Cobh today. The owner has photos, but had a bit of a problem with the technology and went to bed with a headache -I can definitely sympathise with that!

This looks like a recent pic. His beard is in tact. This goes with EEOsandy's story Cobh goes Clooney mad:

The photo in the white suit says Deauville in the window and had the french flag-- I think it was at the film festival a while ago. Who wears a white suit in Ireland in April?

Um, I am starting to doubt that he's really there or theres some kind of cover up going on. No real pics. thast unusual if hes really there and being spotted.
Too many ppl with cell cameras, you know. there would be pics all over twitterdom and every other place.

Re: George Clooney in Ireland?
George is really good at going unspotted. Remember when he was filming Ides of March? He was out and about in these places and there was the occasional rumour that he had dinner at XYZ but no pictures, ever.
He spent a month living and filming in London and never got spotted once.

You're right. The only time he was papped was when he was on set and expected to be in a certain location.

Just Juleser@juleser
So, half the female population of Ireland is currently shaving their legs & doing their makeup whilst hightailing it to Cork for Clooney.

So we had Mia Farrow in Ireland the other week. Now George Clooney. Should we be worried? Are we about to be saved...?

Re: George Clooney in Ireland?
I guess I am a bit cynical. I am finding this whole Ireland visit a bit suspect. The first photo is obviously photoshopped and the others don't seem real either. Add that to SK's spanish greeting and I think they are having a good laugh in Cabo....

I don't think that George Clooney is looney, but he is handsome. Funny the things that are associated with names. My last name is Allen or All in?

That doesn't look like a real photo of George with that man. The coloring and lighting are different on the two men.Maggy wrote:

Re: George Clooney in Ireland?
The picture of George from the Butcher Shop picture was cut and pasted from the pictures of him at the LA premiere of the descendents. I couldn't find the exact picture, but it's the same shirt, suit, haircut, shave, etc.

Cobh goes Clooney mad… and it’s all a hoax (updated)
By Tom Mc Carthy on April 8, 2012in Entertainment
Last night rumour was rampant that George Clooney had been spotted doing the rounds in Cobh, Co. Cork, with reports of him taking in the Titanic exhibition, Fota Wildlife Park and dinner at Gilbert’s. Studenty can now confirm this is a hoax. The rumour was allegedly a marketing ploy by local retail store PIO.

I have to agree with you, same shirt, suit, haircut, shave and the shirt is buttoned down exactly like in the descendents premiere. Well, either he loves that shirt to take it all the way to Ireland or he bought another one. LOL

Last night rumour was rampant that George Clooney had been spotted doing the rounds in Cobh, Co. Cork, with reports of him taking in the Titanic exhibition, Fota Wildlife Park and dinner at Gilbert’s. Studenty can now confirm this is a hoax. The rumour was allegedly a marketing ploy, which many local stores cashed in on, including PIO.
The mega-rich movie star and activist, who was recently arrested outside the Sudanese Embassy in Washington, would likely have gotten a warmer reception from the female contingent of Cobh at least. The story developed rapidly on Twitter, with the assumption being he was making a whistle-stop tour of both Cork and Belfast in search of his ancestors and long-lost relatives.
Meanwhile, Cork women are also doing some soul-searching, after being bitterly disappointed. This will either be a stroke of marketing genius or back-fire spectacularly as Denis Mahony Motors found out on April Fool’s Day. They had promised to give away a car at random to one person who liked their Facebook page. When news of the prank broke, the page saw a massive decrease in popularity and some irate comments.
