@Katie...do we know that he didn't go before? I thought we had pictures a couple of years ago of George and Bono on bikes touring but it wasn't in Ireland, it was somewhere else in Europe, I think but I don't remember now...my "sometimers" is kicking in again!

It could be a nice thing he said to the Irish presenter but I live in Ireland so if anything ever pops up in the Irish press about this over the summer, I will let ye know. Though the press here is less intrusive so if he keeps a low profile, the press would not intrude.

Good destination, Ireland. Never been there, but based on what I´ve heard of it, I could move there and live happily ever after.   

I have never been to Ireland . I would love to go.   

Last summer George and Rande did a bike trip but not to Ireland. They met up with Bono and friends and spent time with him on his yacht. aybe that is what you are remembering. xx

I thought I remembered something about a trip recently but also, there was a trip a couple of years back, with just Bono and George on Harley's and we were discussing on another GC site whether or not that was the Ireland trip but I believe they were in the Italy/Switzerland area and we wondered if they were going to transport themselves and their bikes over to Ireland.

Thanks...that might be it Nicky but I thought, for some reason, that it was more like a couple of years ago, not 2013 but I may be getting the bike trips confused.  It seems to me, it was when he was dating Betty but maybe it's all just starting to blend together...if you know what I mean! LOL

Same here! If you put 'bono' into the search box here, you find him in St Tropez and Monaco with George but this site only goes back to 2010.

But to answer your question, Nick Clooney has definitely been to Ireland and I have an idea George did, but many years ago.
