Brad Pitt and George Clooney have shared a fine bromance in recent years but having both been nominated for best actor at the upcoming Baftas the pair go head-to-head in our Hollywood heartthrob Celebrity Face Off.

1. How well they’re aging
Brad is largely considered one of the world’s most attractive men with those chiseled cheek bones and strong jaw line but having ditched the clean-shaven look and adopted a slicked back mop, it’s a wonder Angelina Jolie is still hanging around.

With those dodgy glasses and the walking stick he's been sporting of late, some could argue he's long past his heyday.

George Clooney has long been popular with older generations but has definitely come into his own of late as Pitt's looks wane. With his silver fox attributes standing him in good stead, it's no wonder he has a string of supermodel girlfriends to his name - and counting.

Although both are undeniably good looking it would seem Brad's enormous brood have taken their toll on his desirable looks.

2. Love life
Although Brad has made some big mistakes in the relationship department, most notably ditching Jennifer Aniston after hooking up with Jolie on Mr & Mrs Smith – we’ll gloss pass Sinitta – the Snatch actor has adapted well to married life.

Although he denied cheating on Aniston, Pitt softened the hearts of women the world over when he admitted that he instantly 'fell in love' with the mother of his children the second he clapped eyes on her.

With rumours that another one is on the way, it seems Pitt has something worth sticking around for.

With a failed marriage under his belt, Clooney has indulged in several high profile relationships. Most notably he dated Lisa Snowdon and Italian actress Elisabetta Canalis but settled down with WWE’s Stacy Keibler in July last year.

Although they’ve each had their fair share of - very public - ups-and-downs, Pitt has long managed to tame his feisty beau while Clooney still remains very much on his toes.

3. Award accolades
It's been a fair few years since Pitt played Clooney’s sidekick in the Ocean’s trilogy but he has since been creeping up behind his mentor in the award stakes - well, not quite.

Clooney trumped Pitt to the title of best actor at the Golden Globes last week with his performance in The Descendants and with the Baftas upon us the pair are to go head-to-head yet again for the title of best leading actor.

However, Pitt's flick Moneyball has failed to scoop a nomination for best film, unlike The Decendants which is likely to wipe the board yet again.

Clooney has three Golden Globes under his belt compared to Pitt’s one, so even if Pitt managed to secure the crown this time around, he still doesn’t have a patch on his pal.

Overall winner: While Brad has taken on family life with open arms he's forfeited his sex appeal in the process. Clooney snatches the crown with eternal looks and a much more impressive award cabinet.
