Amal Clooney's jailbird older sister is selling pricey designer coronavirus face masks just a few months after coming out of prison for a drunk-driving offense.
Self-described 'rebel' fashionista Tala Alamuddin Le Tallec has a line of 'statement piece' masks called 'Le Masque', which she's selling alongside 'The Sanity Stasher' - a trendy pouch to keep hand sanitizer.
But there's only one problem - they can take up to three months to arrive, which isn't ideal with the coronavirus now being classified as a 'pandemic'.
The 'La Masque' line went on sale last week and has styles which include 'cool cat pink' leopard print, 'groovy green' army camouflage and blue denim masks emblazoned with red lips, teeth and a tongue sticking out.

Tala is the older sister to Amal Clooney and was maid of honor at George and Amal's wedding in Venice
According to Le Tallec's website Totally Tala, the 'Sanity Stasher Zip Pouch is as handy as it is fabulously made, in a kaleidoscope of colors in leather and fabric to solve your every storage-on-the-go need' and 'can build a custom-hued creation of your very own.'

Tala, who is based in Singapore, was jailed last October for three weeks for her second drunk driving offense
The masks are selling for $33 while the pouches cost $55, with shipping cost of $50 to the US from Singapore, which is where Alamuddin is based.
But you'll have to wait a long time for the bespoke pouches to be delivered, as the website states 'it will be ready to ship in 8 to 12 weeks'. 
On the flip-side, Le Tallec has promised to donate some of the proceeds to charity, saying on the company's Instagram: 'A portion of Le Masque proceeds will be donated to The Red Cross Singapore (@sgredcross), in support of those directly affected by the Coronavirus.'
This comes just months after Le Tallec was jailed for drunk driving. 
In October, she was sentenced to three weeks behind bars and given a fine for drunk-driving, driving without a license and no insurance.
Le Tallec was stopped by Singaporean police at 2.30am driving her husband's car after she'd been at a restaurant with a friend and had drank two glasses of wine and a glass of champagne.
When trying to find her license in her bag, Le Tallec reportedly hit the accelerator briefly by accident. 
This wasn't her first drunk driving incident in Singapore either. Her first offense was in 2013, which got her suspended from driving for two years.

Most handbags cost over $1,500, with one of the most expensive - the Battlefield Bespoke Hair on Hide bag - priced at $1875.
A leopard skin clutch bag, called OMG Bespoke Hair on Hide, costs $1,275, while belts are $250 and even a zebra-print leather choker will set you back $165.
She also has The Mum-munition Collection, which is 'created for mothers by one mega-mother who knows how to arm the moms of the world to make taking their little ones out of the house a breeze'.
For an eye-watering $2,099, young moms can get an 'All In One Baby Bundle' in pink and yellow leopard skin, which contains: The MUMmaste (Mum and Baby Bag), The Roadie (breastfeeding bib), The Backstage Pass (changing station), The Undercover (baby blanket), The Stacker (diaper holder), The Come Back (burping cloth), The Cover Up (baby bib), The Stash and Dash (drawstring storage pouches), The Get Carried Away (Zipper Pouches).

'Each bag requires three full days to create, and all are hand-sewn and hand-assembled by a team of highly skilled local artisans, in our workshops in Indonesia.'
Tala is Amal's only full sister, they have two half-brothers Samer and Ziad. She graduated from Richmond American International University in London in 1995 and was maid of honor at George and Amal's wedding in Venice. She's lived in London, Lebanon, New York and Singapore.

The article is ridiculous, she is donating the money to the Red Cross.

No, Annemarie, she's donating some of the money to the Red Cross. What they don't mention - and what got a lot of people upset to begin with - is that the masks are totally useless against the coronavirus! Her website says so, That's why she's getting so much criticism.

If people want to throw their money away on her overpriced garbage they're welcome to do it, but selling masks that do nothing to protect at a time when protection is vital is really obnoxious.

Even if she is donating some proceeds to the Red Cross the whole idea is ill conceived and kind of makes light of a incredibly serious situation.   The masks are totally useless as Lizzy said.  They serve no medical purpose.  Doctors have been saying many times over to the public stop buying masks from drugstores.  They will not protect you.

She obviously needs a decent PR operative given how recent the prison sentence was...........maybe she thinks she doesn't!
