I don't know if they were invited the mail can get it wrong case in point the 9 million in diamonds Amal was supposed to wear
in the shoot for Vogue.

I remember a couple of years ago Amal and George were at an event at Buckingham Palace the event was hosted by Prince Charles I believe.

I feel for Meghan, her parent's were divorced when she was 2. Her relatives who she apparently doesn't have a relationship with feel they should be invited. The half sister says they last spoke in 2014, but that doesn't matter they are family and should all be there. Obviously, if you haven't spoken in 4 years or over a decade you are not close and there is no reason
you should be invited to her wedding.

So right annemarie.  DM doesn’t always have the facts just right.  

Reading the DM article what struck me was all of these not so close relatives coming forward to speak publicly about not getting an invite.  Seems a bit unseemly.  If these relatives are so upset or hurt they should take it up with Meghan herself and not through the press.  Just looks bad and tacky on their part.

They have secured the hearts of two of the world’s most eligible bachelors.


Now Amal Clooney and Meghan Markle have something else in common – as The Mail on Sunday can reveal that the Royal bride-to-be is to use the human rights lawyer’s favourite hairdresser for her wedding.
Meghan has hired celebrity stylist Miguel Perez, who charges £180 for a cut and blow dry, after a personal recommendation from Mrs Clooney, who will be attending the big day with husband George.


Spanish-born Perez, who also created a plaited updo for Millie Mackintosh’s wedding to rapper Professor Green, told The Mail on Sunday: ‘Yes, I do Meghan’s hair. I do Amal’s, and Meghan is friends with her. I also do George’s, I do the whole family. Amal put Meghan and me together when she moved here. I do her colour, her cut and her styling.


‘We have talked about it [the wedding] and we have a plan. I can’t say any more but we know what we’re doing.’


Perez styled Amal for a recent Vogue magazine cover shoot at her Berkshire home, telling his 1,700 Instagram followers: ‘Very proud to work with this amazing inspirational woman.’
Perez, who works at John Vial’s Salon Sloane in Chelsea, is also friends with Meghan’s confidant, the Soho House executive Markus Anderson. Until the end of last year, Perez had his own salon at The Ned, part of the Soho House empire.


Perez’s tips include eating a muffin while waiting for a hair mask to set in, and tells his clients when their hair is finished: ‘Walk outside. Try to avoid paps. This is your life now. With great hair comes great responsibility.’

Ok, so once Amal had her hair styled by this guy and now she's on the guest list for the wedding???

The common denominators here are Soho House and the Princes Trust. Both are inter connectable for both couples too.

The first Hollywood celebrity couple has been confirmed to attend the Royal Wedding next month and it's none other than George Clooney and his wife Amal Cooney.
The A-list couple will be attending the event in Windsor on May 19, Amal's hairdresser Miguel Perez confirmed.

Speaking to HOLA! the celebrity stylist didn't confirm or deny that he will be doing Meghan Markle's hair on the big day.

He said: "What I can confirm is that I will be in charge of Amal's hair that day."


While he didn't give any clues away, he said that he would style the bride-to-be's hair "loose for the ceremony and then I would do an updo for the party."
George and Amal will be joining a host of celebrities who will attend the royal wedding including some of Meghan's Suits co-stars alongside Victoria and David Beckham.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will tie the knot next month and it was recently revealed that Prince William will be Harry's Best Man on the day.

Mm, well what the hairdresser actually said was that he can confirmed he's doing Amal''s hair that day......Metro and Hello now...

Amal is such a desperate social climber. Any Clooney watcher knows George wouldn't even know Prince Harry. They just want to be seen at an "in" event. What has George become. Sad. George is still so desperate to sell them as a "power couple" but the public doesn't like her. His last 6 movies have flopped. The more George promotes his marriage in the media the worse his career gets.

Actually, it is quite possible that George knows Prince Harry through his father or through his charitable work or even through common acquaintances.

Amal may be a social climber, but wishing doesn't make it so. If they're invited it's because the bride and groom want them there - not because Amal wants to be there. Just ask Meghan Markle's angry relatives who weren't invited.

I think most of us here have said before that George seems to know so many people from many walks of life. We have no idea what contact the Clooneys have had with Prince Harry in the past.  But I would assume since the Clooneys now reside in the U.K. that they have widened their circle of friends and acquaintances.  We do know that George and Amal were at Buckingham Palace a few years ago for an event celebrating one of Prince Charles’ charitable foundations.

I'm looking forward to seeing George Clooney and Amal Clooney at the wedding.

We'll of course there are riders to the 'going to the wedding ' thing. We do not know if this is for the main event in st George's Chapel Windsor, or the gunfight later. it's a significant honour which ever event involving the great and good of the next generation.

however if true the hairdresser has been remarkably leaky. whether Harry and Meghan are happy with this degree of reveal only they know but given that the likes of Victoria and David Beckham have also been invited then it's not that surprising. they are all involved in serious amounts of charity work as well as The Prince's Trust which is Prince Charles main charity

PAN - Do many of the attendees at the church get invited to the "bunfight" later on? I would think it's even more prestigious in its own way, and a lot more fun!

Nobody knows Lizzy. - only those who are part of the immediate Royal family or Princess Diana's family or really close friend. nobody knows who the bridesmaids are or even if Meghan's estranged father is giving her away. only those who've had the invitations to one or both of the events know. lots of schools have been invited into the castle grounds to see them all arrive and leave...

Thanks, PAN. I was actually thinking about royal weddings in general - not just this wedding. At first I thought that there really aren't that many of them, but then remembered Anne's children and all the other cousins. Do they all follow the same protocol?

(I  don't know why I've made you my go-to expert on all things British. If I'm annoying you I guess I could pester Joanna or Katie. It's just that Katie's busy working and Jo hasn't been well and you're out there lounging around Lake Como just waiting for George to wander by. I am SO jealous! )

Yes, me too. I kind of feel like it's a 'rent-a-celeb' event rather than anything significant and meaningful. Not sure I have good feelings about this; they don't seem to know the difference between royals and celebrities.

Awww, I rather liked the idea of a gunfight after a wedding. Would certainly bring a greater sense of drama (and quicker conclusion) to the inevitable 'what your Ida said about my Angie's dress' dust up at the end of the night. Or perhaps that's just my family?

I would guess (and it's just guessing) that everyone invited to the service would also be invited to the gunfight afterwards (sorry PAN, sticking with gunfight now!).

I can't remember how many events are planned for the day - largely because I really don't care.

From the royal weddings I have read about, not everyone gets invited to the party. Like the charity people won't be invited.

It's more for their closest friends and family 

The fact is none of us know how well Meghan and the Clooney's know each other or how long they have known each other.

It is possible they are all friends and they are invited for that reason. Let's be honest from the way Meghan's family 

carrying on I wouldn't invite many of them either. So she is just inviting friends for her part which is what happens at 

wedding. 

I also think that Meghan has moved her whole life has changed and she has left behind her close friends, of course she 

would want to make new one's Amal would be a great friend discreet and intelligent. I also think she is funny and warm 

which would is probably what Meghan would want in a friend , it doesn't hurt that they are all involved in charity work.

Very true. All I've gathered from the blabbermouth hairdresser is that the connection seems to be more through Amal's side than George's.

Although I don't doubt that George may well have met many of the royals I don't think that meeting someone at an event puts you into the 'invite to my wedding' category of friendship.

But then, what do I know? Maybe he's been off clay-pigeon shooting (or whatever it is they do) with the royals every weekend for decades. He did have some very stern things to say to the media after Princess Diana died.

Exactly. In fact (a little OT) I found out only recently that they are friends with Isla Fisher and her husband.

I think we're forgetting that Meghan Markle is an actress. She could know George through professional connections or mutual friends. And some of the people being invited are her friends from work - which pretty much guarantees they're celebrities, too.
