They are showbusiness royalty.
So it is only fitting George and Amal Clooney’s twins were delivered in the very birthing suite where both Prince George and Princess Charlotte were born.
Little Alexander and Ella Clooney came into the world at the ultra-exclusive Lindo Wing of St Mary’s hospital in London’s Paddington after Clooney paid for three adjacent rooms, the Mail can reveal.

According to prices listed on the official hospital website, rooms cost upwards of £5,700 a night, working out at more than £17,000 for the three suites combined – or a staggering £119,000 for the week.
Whilst one was reserved for the human rights lawyer, 39, and the two new arrivals, the second was for the Oscar-winning actor, 56, and visiting guests, and the third for the couple’s security detail.

The three suites are understood to be the very same as the ones all the Royal babies – including Princes William and Harry - were born in due to the usefulness of the adjoining doors and, crucially, to ensure the family’s location could remain secret from the outside world.
Indeed, according to all previous reports, the Clooneys were thought to be staying at the Kensington Wing of the Chelsea and Westminster hospital where some suites start at an even more princely £8,000 a night.

In good company: Kate Middleton gave birth to Prince George there in July 2013 and Princess Charlotte in May 2015
Of course, the couple’s suites were given a suitably glamorous Hollywood makeover.
Last night a source said: ‘The hospital stay was arranged months ago, and all staff were sworn to secrecy.
‘The rooms were prepared ten days prior to the couple’s arrival with everything from furniture to an in-room entertainment system, and fridges to flowers chosen on behalf of Amal and George to deck out the three suites.
‘Obviously money is not a worry, and George was adamant his wife would give birth in the utmost comfort.
‘Absolutely everything was taken care of and there’s even a comprehensive wine list available so that George could toast his new arrivals in style.’

All suites at the Lindo come complete with en suite bathrooms, wifi, a hotel-style room service and a champagne menu
Happily, for a couple said to be worth in excess of a combined £140million, this latest splurge is unlikely to make too much of a dent in their savings.

Meals are prepared by trained chefs in a dedicated kitchen, and parents have the option of ordering traditional afternoon tea to keep them going.
Kate Middleton gave birth to Prince George there in July 2013 and Princess Charlotte in May 2015, and Princess Diana had both of her sons, William and Harry, at the exclusive wing in 1982 and 1984.

The Lindo Wing has been a private maternity arm since 1937. They are understood to have paid the same nightly rate as the Clooneys.
The Clooneys themselves have not been seen since the birth of their new arrivals.
A statement put out on behalf of the happy couple declared: ‘Amal and George welcomed Ella and Alexander Clooney into their lives.
Ella, Alexander and Amal are all healthy, happy and doing fine. George is sedated and should recover in a few days.’
Last night a spokesman for Clooney confirmed the couple had stayed at the Lindo, and had paid for the stay.

Here's someone who's had a similar experience

This is the private maternity wing of an NHS hospital, so better than just private becos the money will trickly down into the NHS system. It is part of St Mary's Hospital not far from Notting Hill and as such, many of the injured from the apartment block fire are being treated there and staff have been working round the clock all night and all of today.

That is good that the money will help the hospital.
