I just found an article about Ken Howard who passed away. George pays a nice tribute to him:

I like it that George always adds personal memories to a tribute...

Yes, he was. I very much liked him in "Crossing Jordon" as Jordon's father...
I read that he also was in "Dynasty" which I watched in the 1980s but don't remember him - well, that was quite a while ago...

I remember watching The White Shadow when it first aired on tv. A very young Ken Howard. Really liked that show and I can see why George was a fan.

George has such a nice way of personalizing his thoughts about people he admires.

Thanks carolhathaway for posting!

Ken Howard has been one of my favorite actors forever. I am so sad that he's gone  - especially so young! There's an episode of "Murder She Wrote" that shows him off to perfection. He plays a PI who inherits a poodle that turns out to be a trained government "agent". It isn't Shakespeare, but it's fun to watch. I hope they run it again soon.

if you've not seen it, rent 1776. It's a musical, in which he plays Thomas Jefferson.   He's also a riot in OSCAR.. a farce comedy with Sly Stallone.

One lives in the hope of becoming a memory.....

Can't remember who said that....but I like the intention...
