George and Amal Clooney Share the Most Adorable PDA in Italy

In spite of all of the seemingly never-ending celebrity splits this summer, we're slowly starting to believe in love again---and not just because Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux finally tied the knot in a secret wedding ceremony on Wednesday!
George Clooney and wife Amal have successfully managed to set the bar -- once again -- for what love looks like after enjoying a late dinner at Villa D'Este on Wednesday in Como, Italy.

In this sweet PDA moment, they still look head over heels for each other as they gaze into each other's eyes nearly one year after they married in Venice, Italy.

George doesn't just show his affection though. He's also one to gush about the human rights lawyer.



"She's an amazing human being," he told ET's Nancy O'Dell in May. "And she's caring. And she also happens to be one of the smartest people I've ever met. And she's got a great sense of humor." 

But the list does not end there.

The actor also noted Amal's amazing trend-setting fashion sense, which was on full display during their most recent outing with a sheer, coral dress that showed off her legs.

"She's always -- since the day I met her -- she's always had this insanely ... it's eccentric but it's fun, sense of fashion," he said. "How she does it while she's got 11 cases she's working on, and she was teaching at Columbia, and she's still like, 'I want to wear that dress.' It's crazy. It has been sort of fascinating to watch, because she has such great taste."

LorneDoone you just said how I feel but didn't put into words.  Whenever he puts his hand on the small of her back and looks at her so intently ... like she's the only woman in the world ... he melts me.  I can only imagine how she feels.

I've read loads of complaints on here regarding the frustration of posters at seeing no PDA between George and various lady friends.

Now that we're seeing PDA between George and
his WIFE some don't believe it's REAL.

I dont get it !

They are in love they were enjoying the moment why not , why should they hide others show pda  all the time . I love seeing them being affectionate that is what you do when your happy and in love.
George is acting like any man in love being attentive and affectionate with his wife.

This show of affection is what people in love do. Lots and lots and lots of people. Unless you are George Clooney and do it one too many times. Step over that invisible line. Then it's fake and for the cameras. And when he doesn't show affection enough then something must be wrong. Definite sign of a fake relationship.

The man can never win when it comes to his personal relationships. Some fans will always be naysayers.

I hope he never stops being affectionate with Amal in public. It's sweet and very real as far as I can see.

I see the love between them, not just him but when she looks at him her eyes are so soft and the little smile she gives him. No doubt to me they are in love and enjoying each other Long may it last they waited a long time for this .

The pictures are sweet, tender and very real in their feeling.

That chemistry that George spoke of at the Golden Globes is so obvious here. it is so strong. I get the sense there is something incredibly special about how George and Amal feel for each other. A rather unique kind of love. Ever since they married and George started speaking publicly about their relationship (which he didn't have to) I feel that they are both overwhelmed with each other.

I do feel rather guilty intruding on their private moments alone at dinner tho but ....

Donnamarie , I agree I think they found what they both wanted or maybe didn't know they wanted and needed in each other.

Just wondering if there's a new Clooney/Fiat advert in the making...........but nobody would think to look at them in that. Makes a change from the white van sometimes used.......

I like that it was just the two of them out for dinner. And he's driving. Which we don't see him doing too often in Como.

The goatee is gone. It was nice but I like clean shaven George the best! Wonder if he's getting ready to do some advert shoots?

....and if I looked like that in something like that, with a bloke like that, I'd be launching myself onto the Villa d'Este terrace for a few cocktails in a 22 degree heat too!

Re: the pic of them taken at Villa D'Este - Can we just be logical for a minute? When was the last time you saw 2 normal, adult people show PDA at a nice restaurant? I'm not talking teenagers.  I'm talking about grown-ups. I would have to say I can't remember the last time. Now what are the odds that George/Amal just couldn't control themselves at the very instant that someone was taking a picture of them? Are they so hot for each other that they can't wait until they get home?

It's this kind of pic and this type of situation that is creating such doubt about the whole relationship. Why so try-hard? It looks so very fake, especially for two supposedly sophisticated people.

I think it's a way to keep your name in the news for another week. My like and respect for George has plummeted, especially after seeing posed pics like this.

Let's start making some good choices, George.

Every picture looks very real to me.  No doubt they are very much in love and very affectionate with each other. They have been very demonstrative in their feelings since Como last year.  And I have seen many couples out in social situations where they are very affectionate with each other.  

I see nothing fake in their feelings, their show of affection or their marriage.

As far as I can see George has made an excellent choice in who he married and how he has handled himself.

By all accounts and appearances, George is head over heels in love with his wife, and their relationship is genuine.

The photos are, um, let's say less than spontaneous.

The two scenarios are not mutually exclusive. Maybe there is a reason they/he/she had to be photographed. PR or business agreement or whatever.

I agree it would seem tacky and desperate, but I'm just pointing out that there doesn't have to be a 'they're so in love' vs 'these pics are staged' debate here. Both things can be true at the same time.

I won't belabor this by taking it to its logical extent...

Every single time they show affection towards each other  in any way and it gets captured in a photograph, the chorus chimes in with omg its FAKE! It's POSED! I have no respect for George anymore! If there isn't any affection then it's oh look he's not really into her, they look like they have no chemistryyyy!

George's choices and decisions are fine from where I'm standing. He just can't win with some of you. He's damned if he does and damned if he doesn't.

I just don't see and can't believe for the life of me any reason George and/or Amal would be so calculating or manipulative of the media.  The idea that they would use their love and affection for each other for the sake of some PR to me is ridiculous.  Doesn't make any sense. 

Yes Way2 what you suggests does sound desperate. For what reason would they be that desperate?  

How about they just love each other.  How about they just shared a very romantic evening together.  I wouldn't be surprised if their show of affection continued when they got home.

hmm. Very bad photographs. No flash before they were in the car. Long lens.  I would guess, and it's only a guess,  that they had no idea they were being photographed - prior to the car photos. 

And frankly what are these remarkable displays of affection we see. A head on the shoulders, an arm around the shoulder, a hand on the neck and an arm around the waist. Two people sitting close to each other and talking. And holding hands. 

I see two people in love. Two people who are by nature affectionate.

Seems pretty straight forward to me.
