George, Amal Clooney visit Northern Kentucky, Cincinnati before move to England




CINCINNATI -- It looks like George Clooney is spending some time in his hometown with wife Amal before packing up and moving to England.

And he made some time to check out Cincinnati's craft beer scene, too.




The 54-year-old from Augusta, Kentucky had dinner with his family (including dad Nick) at a restaurant along the Ohio River (possibly in Maysville, given the hashtag) earlier this week. They even sang "Happy Birthday" to a woman at the next table over:




They were also spotted on a street in Augusta, where he went to high School:




The "Tomorrowland" star got into Cincinnati's craft beer Wednesday night, when he stopped in Urban Artifact Brewing in Northside:




The brewery and event space, on Blue Rock Street in the old St. Patrick's church, focuses on tart, sour and wild beers.

(We also heard reports Clooney had dinner at Nicola's earlier in the evening.)

Around this time last year, he was also in town, taking out time to shoot some hoops with kids at Augusta High School.

A few months ago, newlyweds George and Amal purchased the The Mill House, a 17th-century manor on the River Thames about 40 miles from London. He's said they plan to move in at the end of the summer.

Brewery co-founder and Chief of Entertainment & Events Dominic Marino said it's actually the second time that Clooney and his family have stopped by. Marino said the family is longtime friends of the Blue Wisp Big Band and also supporters of Urban Artifact.

What a lovely visit to Kentucky for Amal and George.  He must really enjoy taking Amal to all the spots around town that are important in his life.  George certainly appreciates his roots.

........now there's a place I'd love to go to. It sounds great.....seem to recall him taking Ryan Gosling and the cast of Ides of March there. Envy

I love the guy in the background photo bombing from a distance!! George is growing the goatee again, anyone know why? a part coming up? and he looks sooooo tired right now. No Einys with them?? Booooooo!

The goatee may be just because he felt like it.  He's kicking back now.  I think he and Amal are getting ready for vacation time.  He has said as much.  Sometimes photos, because of lighting aren't flattering to  G ... he'll look tired when he's not.
