So Nick will be telling stories about Judy Garland, Debbie Reynolds, Gene Kelly, James Cagney, Jane Powell, Ann-Margret and Elvis Presley.

Re: Nick Clooney hosts PBS' 'Classic Hollywood Musicals'
The show is on our PBS station tonight. Nick Clooney has such a wonderful voice. Very smooth. He looks terrific and handles his hosting duties in exemplary form. I know he had a script to read from but he is such a wealth of info and trivia on old-time Hollywood. Boy, I would love to have dinner with Nick and George just to listen to them talk about everything Hollywood. That would be fascinating. Hope others here got to see this special.

Re: Nick Clooney hosts PBS' 'Classic Hollywood Musicals'
I know that my PBS station is showing this program again. They are actually showing it again sometime today. So everyone interested in watching it should just check their TV listings. It will probably be shown again.
Yes it's me. Nick is like a living encyclopedia!
When Nick was teaching at American University in Washington DC a few years ago he also hosted a Newseum program on news in the movies. It was called Reel Jounalism. I went to many of those presentations that he hosted. There would be a panel discussion about the movie shown and Nick would have a couple of jounalists there to discuss the movie and the era in which the movie reflected. He was a great interviewer, asked really pertinent questions and knew his "stuff" when it came to providing background on the movie. And always interesting. And funny! I can see where George gets his sense of humor from
