Yes Mel I did view the video.  It was cute. I like when he first said, Happy Birthday mom.  That was funny.

Most of the day was lovely.  Some issues at work this afternoon that threatened to ruin my evening, but my friend made me laugh so much at dinner that it helped me move past it.  Will deal with the issue next week.

All in all, I received some funny and also some very thoughtful gifts and cards from friends and enjoyed dinner so it was a nice day.

And really, all those lovely pictures of George today at the Omega event - well who could have asked for more?  :-)

Happy Belated Birthday LornaDoone! Why not carry the celebration through the weekend (and on into the week?) You deserve it!

I tell ya I've reached that age where I'm now regressing in age. And I've reached the age where I call bullshit when I see it or hear it.

My co-workers are finding me very disconcerting of late cause I calls it like I sees it! HA!

Ain't getting old grand? Remember when you were a kid and your grandparents would say something that your parents would try to stop them from saying or would try to "shush" them?

That's where I'm getting. It's freeing and makes life less stressful.

There will always be people who are negative, who are self centered, who pick on others and often they get away with it because others won't say anything.

We have a gal at work who is particularly abusive to others. I've now started calling her on it. You should have seen her face when I very bluntly told her what I thought of her behavior. What was even better - she became speechless. She could not believe anyone had challenged her!

I tell ya, it's very cathartic to finally tell the assholes that they're being assholes right when they are behaving like assholes.

So this birthday has had a little blip but all in all it's been pretty great!

As I've got older I've become more outspoken instead of just keeping quiet or agreeing all the time.
It has it's drawbacks of course. But so what ?  A sense of humour is essential too.
