Oooops!!! Am just wondering if that was about my earlier comment Mel? NOPE... I was generally speaking, not in reply to It's me's note... Just the overall thread on control speculationsmelbert wrote:And George himself has said that in interviews.it's me wrote:Better
I bet she will finally get really tired
And will left him alone
Too
IF what is quoted above is true... I wonder why George/anyone would WANT to tire someone that way (just musing folks... again, not in relation to the above bunch of thoughts... just my errrrrrr mind may be then she/anyone must be tirelessly in love (OUCH!!!) Poor George!! HAHAHAHAHA
The pictures in Venice display a very different George, MORE George than George Clooney ... after a long long loooooooong time

Re: Control
I only see one George sometimes he has to act more professional than others, which is a good thing. Like most people he also has to have his down time to get it together. I am sure anyone he dates knows that he is a work-a-holic and has to be the master of his own ship. They either accept that or they don't, at this stage of his life a GF will have to be quite exceptional for him to allow her any of the taking charge of things.
He's in a very complex situation with little routine, so he is going to want to keep as much as possible in his life the same as yesterday, last week, last year or ten years ago. These things like his loyal friends help keep some sort of balance to his unpredictable life. You notice how he likes to do the same thing, eat at the same restaurants, wear the same styles etc... Maybe this helps because there are many things that involve other's schedules not just his own. When making movies you have many to coordinate with and I assume that is why we hear of so many changes in actor's roles.

Re: Control
Anyone who is with George, in any capacity, is affecting his public image, his reputation. So he has to be able to "control" his environment, whomever or whatever. His livelihood is contigent upon his reputation/image. Maybe after he retires he will relax a bit about this? Or maybe it will be such a habitual thing that it is now ingrained in him? Either way, any time of his life, George is still such a great person that I think he will always be compassionate about those he "controls".

I t just popped into my head; The Merchant of Venice...it is a pound of flesh, but it was the spillage of blood, that made me think, as in control or whatever....everything come's at a price....
Which has nothing to do with The Merchant of Venice....I love Shakespeare, I try to go every year. This November they perform Antony and Cleopatra....I recommend everyone to go if they can. Stratford is lovely, and there is a lovely Carluccio Italian restaurant 5 minutes away....so you would feel at home:D
Here are some links. The first is Kate Tempest...who I was going to see earlier this week in Edinburgh....but I ended up in Venice( )....This is a spoken synopsis in rap, by Kate.....

Bad day
So I guess I will be a bit harsh
Then usual
We all have already or will have regrets
And we all keep change
In a way or another
I mean softening corners, in various ways
I guess if he doesn't try to be less harsh with himself
He will have a lot of regrets
I read a bit about new Linz Lohan movie
They talk about depersonalization by Hollywood business
In what stage is him now?
Still save? Bec his control?
But this strictly control
How far does he want to push?

"I read a bit about new Linz Lohan movie

That's not totally true...it's the depersonalization of the whole world....Blame the age we live in.....
So OK if your George....it is very much harder, but G is surrounded by ppl who will buffer or try to stop/help ?????
If you are a 13 year old girl and somebody destroys you/depersonalises you....where do you go....the morgue.....and we can't seem to stop it.
If a government had said;
"OK, from now on we want you to enter all your personal details on a our website, we want to know where you go on holiday with who -tagged- on pictures. we want to know your feelings about a movie or a song, we want to know who you are seeing, where you are eating and what your children watch on tv..and pictures of their Birth, and pictures of your Grannies wake..we want to know your thoughts on EVERYTHING"
I think a riot would break out in that country.....welcome to Facebook!
As always with great good, comes equal bad.
I'm really the last person who should comment.....x

Re: Control
I completely agree...people tend to "share" too much information about themselves on FB. I don't do FB and I never will....there's something to be said for a little "mystery" in one's life! There's no reason for everyone to know your business. Now that may be my age talking but I think it's ridiculous how much people want to "share" with the whole world!what would he say wrote:"I read a bit about new Linz Lohan movie

Re: Control
No has nothing to do with age. Even lot of young people start to change and delete the facebook accounts. Once you realised it is too much you like to go backwards. Facebook you can call really CONTROL. They have now this new thing when you write somebody a message the other person who send the message can exactly see when you read it. So really everything is under watch. Don't understand why people like it.
Time changes. Today it is easier for people to write a measage on Facebook and Twitter then doing a phonecall to talk to that person direct. Our society gets more and more superficial.

Re: Control
I set up a facebook account when it first came out to mainly keep in touch with my neice overseas however I have modified mine to the point that I barely use it. I mainly post photos of kids activities for family members that don't see them often. I never go on there and blab every minute of my day unlike most of the people on my friends list. Some of the users don't realise how vulnerable they are making themselves or their children with posting every detail of their lives and locations on facebook. I also have a motto that if you cant be bothered to talk to me in real life then no way in hell am I going to facebook friend you - so my list is restricted to family and a couple of friends. As to topic of control there is not enough of it when it comes to users - I have seen children with facebook accounts commenting on the Casamigos facebook page, I mean seriously the parents are deliberately oblivious!
The posts that make me laugh the most are when people write messages to their children (who don't have facebook accounts, so weird).

Re: Control
I have to agree with all of you about facebook. I had one deleted it, just started it up again to go alone with my twitter accounts. I don't use it for personal. I have a page for Monuments Men and the main one I use for GTC, Darfur and other causes or politics that I'm interested in. It more or less is a holding place for things that I don't want to lose track of. I state that it is only a fan spot for any GTC items.
I'm very controlling about posting personal info anywhere. It seems like people discuss personal details about everything. Women or men that have a need to talk about their spouses personal details or sex lives I would not tell to a close friend. To me it takes away from what you have together, mainly privacy. Even on twitter some times you get so nauseated by some comments, I wouldn't repeat them here.
This depersonalization, is that a book or just going to be a movie I haven't heard about it at all.

The canyons
About that film was said 'depesonalization'
I intended in Hollywood bec of film's locations
But it's probably a larger problem
They said principal actors put in the movie themselves
It can be
But I was asking myself how much G can keep things apart
Public and private persona
I'm sure he can
But
At what 'price' ?

technology allows more freedom, in some cases
This can cut on his own
But till he will be active in business or charity this helps

Re: Control
I don´t know.
I´d say the price is lost time. And it´s precious.
Always makes me wonder when people say they are free with the things they have and own; the careers they have, people in their lives, houses, hobbies... really? I think quite the opposite.
All those things start to own you. You have them by your free will, but that´s all that is free there. They own you and take your time.
Yes I do agree relationship is between two people and not the whole world. But if I was in a relationship I wouldn´t be free, I´d be his. Better keep a high price for that freedom

Re: Control
Sure sure. Go ahead.
I´m partly behind closed doors now, only one to the terrace is wide open. But I feel free. Could be bacause I´m alone
I wouldn´t trust the closed doors either. This happened to me. I got a key to my hotel room and big, tall, black guy came to help my luggage to the room. He opened the door and I was about to walk in. There was a woman towel wrapped around her head, otherwise naked and naked man lying on the bed. She started to call the reception right there and then complaining the disturbance and the man didn´t bother to cover himself either.
I went back to the reception and they asked me if somethings was wrong with the room. I said they and also I would appreciate if I got a room of my own.

Re: Control
Work life and personal life seem to blur for many people. Mostly due to social media. Also people are more inquisitive. I can imagine it must be difficult for him as it is to ordinary people with less visible career.
In some professions it is mandatory almost to be social media maven. (What I do is not, it doesn´t mix well with our job). Still I meet constantly people who have googled me or someone else, like mutual friend or even celebrity and "know" things and ask about them, even giving advice or opinions and so on. You can´t moderate the info. It is there and stays there. Competition results, events you participated, your taxes, all kinds of listings...Crazy.
So yes, I believe he must be truly annoyed at times.

Re: Control
Well that was sort of what I mean too. Some would call it control if they were minded to have much freedom, but others see a well organized schedule for the days ahead. Me, I just see that it is necessary to organize one's schedules so that the maximum time for the best part of the relationship can be had.Mazy wrote:Agree that is why I said control might be too harsh. To me it's more like taking charge of things which he has to do. Another reason why a woman that has her own career might not work. You have two separate agendas going on at the same time. He needs a mate that has his schedule as her' own. She needs to be very flexible and able to cater to his needs. There are a lot of things that he needs to attend to and cannot change.Katiedot wrote:But is that control or is it simply organisation? When you're as busy as George is, you have to be incredibly organised and plan everything down to the last detail. Including making decisions about whether to prioritise work commitments over private demands.
And yes, Mazy, for George, the woman would indeed need to be one without a career, otherwise, schedules conflict and NO time alone much would be had. Thats what George refers to when he says they get tired of having no time with him. He is talking about total time spent together, and schedules which will always have conflict more often than not. There was a site that showed just how much actual time was spent in the longest relationships, and it was surprisingly little time.
So I am seeing that the GFs who have goals of fixing up their careers by being with him, the famous one, to maximize pap pics and stories for PRing their career, they would be about ready to call an end to the lack of time with him, as he always is busy, along with any time they spend doing things for their career/bank account. Thats why those relationships are more cooler and less in love. But I do think a few were very difficult to end, as he and the girl had some mixed feelings about ending things, with later getting back together.

As always so intrigued reading in here...
And then I look at Prince William, his wife+son... his family... I guess the difference is the power of love and the faith HRH has in it...
He did not "renounce" his love or his life together with his love, but fought hard, worked on it, trusted+believed in it despite all the trauma attached / pitfalls etc... and very simply turned his life into an inspiration for many, a "royal" example now of marriage and family life... Am not even sure, he actually realizes it...
From some of your notes above, it feels like George has "opted to treat" his work as wife, and love as his other-woman ... Well, perhaps, that might actually be what it is... don't know!
Ideally, each of us is unique... just that the abstracts are all basically universal... Na?

despite all says the opposite

Nipple's .... George is having a problem with nipples,
Are we talking about batman nipples or GF nipples ?
What colour nipples are we talking about, black rubber nipples or rosy pink nipples ?
