Is George Clooney “ready to take the plunge again?” asks In Touch, which claims the actor’s girlfriend Stacy Keibler “was spotted trying on engagement rings at the jewelry store Jacob & Co in Manhattan on Sept. 13.”

A “fellow shopper” tells the tabloid, “Stacy’s heart started racing when Jacob ‘The Jeweler’ Arabo showed her his palladium collection.”

Interesting, did this patron happen to be wearing a stethoscope?

Anyway, Keibler reportedly exclaimed, “I want to try on some things — they are beautiful!” and was “particularly blown over by a Jacob & Co canary diamond ring,” says the mag’s source.

In Touch goes on to note that the former WWE wrestler “may have been dropping a big hint to George two days earlier as well,” as she “checked out an array of breathtaking wedding gowns at the Vera Wang and Marchesa runway shows during NYC’s Fashion Week.”

Uh-huh.

While the tab’s alternate reality is certainly more exciting than what actually happened, it’s entirely not accurate.

Keibler was NOT “shopping” for engagement rings — she merely “tried on” jewelry for the Jacob & Co Palladium launch party, which she later attended, a source close to the actress tells Gossip Cop.

And as for the supposed browsing for a “wedding gown,” our impeccable insider notes that Keibler was simply taking in several New York Fashion Week shows.

Last weekend, I glanced at these photos on TMZ, and I laughed and laughed. For those of you who hate links (?), that link takes you to posed photos of Stacy Keibler doing a photo-op with jeweler-to-the-stars, Jacob the Jeweler. Oh, and she was seen at Vera Wang’s wedding gown show? That’s fairly damning. Maybe there IS something to this. You know where we are now? We’re at the magical time within George Clooney’s relationships where he’s been with The Girl for long enough for it to be considered “serious” and “potentially leading to some kind of settling down,” and that’s just when The Girl starts getting really comfortable. That’s when she starts thinking, “Hey, maybe he WILL marry me.” That’s when she starts mentioning weddings and babies in interviews. And that’s when Ol’ George dumps ‘em. Now, do I think George will dump Stacy just because she was looking at wedding gowns and engagement rings? Hm. I don’t know. He’s dumped girls for less, you know? My guess would be that modeling wedding dresses, which is clearly a job she was paid for, is not quite as damning as "window shopping" for wedding dresses, which is basically what a fashion show is for, and what a woman does when she is planning a wedding. How many people go to wedding dress fashion shows who aren't either engaged or about to be engaged? Just the delusional, I imagine.

There is no reason for her to be at a wedding dress fashion show. I understand that celebrities are invited to shows in the hopes that their attendance will bring some press, but the only way the name "Stacy Keibler" invites attention at such a show is in relation to who she's dating. That's a cheap way of getting attention, by both Stacy and Vera Wang, frankly.

Definitely get the impression white is THE colour at the mo - her white dress at the jewellers was from the Marchesa collection, as well as the kitchen prog, I think. Gwyneth Paltrow keeps showing up in a lot of white too

He can't very well dump her for trying on jewelry without looking like a complete jerk. He needs to keep up the facade at least a little while, so he can control the story, which I'm sure will be along the lines of what it always is: he's too busy with work, they wanted different things. Which is very similar to what the Sun printed, without the additional details about him pulling away from her and becoming distant, which paint him as the bad guy in the situation. George is NEVER the bad guy in a break up; it's always the woman's fault.

Yes and that was just last week. Let's not forget her stupid tweets early on, the embarressing outfits on the red carpet, all of the staged photo ops this summer that an oscar winning actor should not be participating in. I could go on, but at this point, you either like her or you dont. I dont.

SHe doesn´T get blamed, we just re-asking her behaviour. If she was asked to wear the ring why didn`t she say to Mr. Jocobs with a sweet voice & smile, sorry, i like your necklaces and earrings more and they don`t give me bad publicity where everyone is making fun of me. It is that easy, but she didn`t say NO, she grabbed the opportunity and made herself and George a laughing stock AGAIN.


Why ever would she refuse to wear rings for exhibition purposes
for that reason ? That would make her look like just like a child....

Stacy may be a Sweetheart with pretty legs but she seriously does nothing of importance or gives me any reason to respect her. Her job by doing absolutely nothing reflects bad on George.


I have yet to be convinced that anything George Clooney's girl friends do
reflect badly on him. He is his own man and every one who knows him personally or has dealings with him know that.


If he is comfortable in the relationship with her,Fine but As a fan of him and his work i wish the media would talk more about that than make sardonic jokes about his lovelife. The reason why that happens is that the media can`t take Stacy serious as much as i have my problems, JMHO

The respectable, intelligent, thinking media does talk and write about him
and his work.
There are many, many examples of those kind of articles and interviews
posted on here.

It's the rubbish third rate gossip mags and web sites that can only produce lazy journalism regarding 1% of George Clooney's life, his love life, because they wouldn't know how to analyse or discuss the remaining 99%.

That's my opinion anyway and I'm sticking to it.

She was at a jewelry display at a fashion show, which meant she had an entire range of jewelry from which to choose: earrings, necklaces, bracelets, multi-stone rings. She chose a giant solitaire diamond. She has ten fingers on which to wear the ring. She chose her wedding ring finger. In front of photographers. She knew exactly what she was doing.
