Murder, She Wrote, built around the charmingly badass Angela Lansbury, was a veritable cavalcade of superstar cameos and before-they-were-famous guest appearances. Everybody wanted a piece of Jessica Fletcher.

Hey, lookit, that’s a 26-year-old George Clooney guesting as Kip Howard (for the record, he did not murder anyone, nor play a big role in its solving). This late Season 3/1987 appearance by Clooney comes after his 17-episode arc on The Facts of Life but before his one episode of The Golden Girls.

When this was filmed, George was actually 25 years old. I remember this episode, since I used to watch MSW with my family.

The murder she wrote episode is on itv3 in the UK at 7pm tonight and repeated again at 11.55am tomorrow.

Monaco - I came across it by accident the other day here in NY. Good grief, he was so young - and that hair! How cute can you get? But, honestly, if the rest of his career had depended on this performance he probably would never have been heard of again. Very Happy

I got the dvd out on one of those dvd subscription packages a while ago. I'm sure the hair got it's own credit at the end Very Happy

I also remember getting the making of Dusk till Dawn (Full Tilt Boogie or something like that?) at the time. That was pretty interesting.

Me too. i love Murder she wrote. My favourite crime Serie after Columbo (yes I love the old crime series). But I never came across the George Episode. I love Jessica Fletcher (Angela Lansbury) I would like to know from him how it was working with her.
