Amal Clooney has once again rolled out her romantic date-night style in Lake Como.
Apart from her incredible, lifesaving work, the human rights lawyer is known for her impeccable street style, often appearing out and about in New York City dressed to the nines in shift dresses or jumpsuits—outfits that are perfect for both happy hour and the boardroom. But when she and husband George Clooney spend time at their second home in the Italian Riviera, she injects a healthy dose of glamour into her typically minimalist wardrobe.

Case in point: Amal was recently photographed leaving a restaurant in the seaside vacation region wearing a romantic white slipdress—an incredible vintage find from Christian Dior’s Spring 2005 collection.

The spaghetti-strap piece featured multiple patterns, from black polka dots to pink rosebuds, as well as a plunging neckline, a thigh-high leg slit, and an asymmetrical hemline covered in frilly ruffles. The barrister accessorized the vintage dress sparingly, adding simply a pair of gold drop earrings and white slingbacks.

Amal has been showing off her love of vintage clothing during her and George’s stay in Europe. Earlier this summer, the couple dined in St.-Tropez, where Amal made a splash in a bright pink floral minidress. The accoutrement—which similarly featured a V-shaped neckline, ruffles along the neckline, and an asymmetrical hem—hailed from Versace’s Spring 2004 runway. At the time, she styled the piece with a few other luxe summer staples, including a pair of bronze aviator shades, a white leather shoulder bag, and nude platform pumps.[/size][/size]

Quite! Altho I'm guessing they were in a car for this particular evening....never sure that the claimed 'vintage dress' was really for someone of her height - or maybe it used to be owned by a flapper.......

Not exactly my definition of vintage....2004.
              
JMO- I don't think the depth of the slit was a mistake-  she's got Anna Wintour as her mentor and she's worn super high slits before.  Just another "look at me" moment, and unfortunately we all did 

Mmm.....personally, given the man she's married to, if it were me I'd be in a              fluster about how I looked every time I was out with him. 

      Her height and her profession makes the likes of Anna Wintour deeply             attracted to her - she helps her to fill her magazines

     And this dress looks jolly sensible.

Im sure George enjoys looking at his wife so that is all that matters . I like the dress on her she has good legs why not show them off.

In a few months they will have been married for 10 years time has flown.

It's a pretty dress. She's never been shy about showing off her legs, although the camera angle might make the slit seem a bit higher than it actually was. In any case, it's her style & I doubt it's going to change.

Une douce parenthèse durant leurs vacances en Italie. Alors qu’ils séjournent du côté de Tivoli,  George et Amal Clooney ont décidé de passer un dîner à la Villa d’Este ce jeudi 8 août. À table avec des amis, le couple s’est même accordé quelques attentions délicates par la suite, s’adressant de tendres baisers ainsi que des accolades.

George et Amal Clooney ont d'un sens toujours été liés à l'Italie. Si on reprend le cours de leur histoire, c’est dans ce même pays qu’ ils se sont rencontrés en 2013. Amal Clooney racontait en 2018 à l’AFI Life Achievement Awards : « J'ai rencontré George lorsque j'avais 35 ans et je commençais à être assez résignée à l'idée que j'allais rester célibataire. Nous avons commencé à nous cacher dans mon appartement londonien. Très vite, je me suis dit que, peu importe ce qu’il se passait, je ne voudrais plus jamais être avec quelqu'un d'autre que lui. »
Pour eux, l’histoire se poursuit et s’accélère par la suite. Très rapidement, les deux amants s’unissent et accueillent leurs premiers enfants en 2017 : les jumeaux Ella et Alexander. Désormais, ils vivent en partie à proximité du lac de Côme tout en profitant régulièrement des beaux paysages qu’offre l’Italie comme la ville de Venise ou encore dernièrement Tivoli.[/size]
