George Clooney furious at paparazzi who broke into his home to take pics of the twins

I think it was a missed link in their security they have three properties we don't know which property the paps were on to get the shot.
I don't think they would be stupid enough to be on Oleandra's grounds when everyone is home and they can be spotted.
I remember seeing a map on the internet that mapped out George's properties and the grounds of Oleandra.

Mm. well I don't think it's an 'inside job' at all. George has had the same staff for years, including Gio and frequently takes them out for dinner when he's there.

I think he  watched and was aware of everything these paps did - the whole area is covered in video cameras, (so much so friends of mine would drive rather than walk past the estate, because they feel that they''d have to make sure their makeup was perfect!) and  heavy metal spikes atop the gates and walls on the road. Bear in mind he has properties on both sides of the road too. He was made aware and watched what they had done  (bear  in mind trees go down to the lake) but could do nothing until they proved him right.........

And now they will pay.........

A thought occurred to me regarding George's upbringing.

It seems to me, from across the pond, that both George and his sister Ada were "in the spotlight" as children 
of a well known person, Nick Clooney, their Dad.
Obviously I don't really know how famous he was on his TV News programmes.

Maybe George decided in his mind that IF he ever
had a family he wouldn't want that at all.

As others have already said, it's George Clooney
the actor, director, producer etc etc who has become very famous and not his offspring.

I think it's disgraceful the manner in which those recent pictures were taken. 
Period.

And also extremely arrogant and audacious.......even their answer to George is not at all apologetic or sorry...........

Joanna - Nick Clooney was a local, not a national, celebrity when George and Ada were young. He was well known in Kentucky and Ohio and the kids got a lot of attention, but not the kind of relentless publicity that George gets now. It was just that everyone around them knew they were Nick Clooney's kids.

I think the attention - and Nick insisting that the kids take part in his public appearances and his tv show - prepared George for the life he lives. It was basically an apprenticeship in how to function in the public eye and show business. He has said, though, that there were times he and Ada resented being included in his father's work when they'd rather have been doing kid stuff instead.

My guess is that George and Amal will be a lot more protective of the twins. It's a different world, much more dangerous, and George is a much bigger celebrity than Nick ever was.

It's not the first time they've had break ins in the Italian house and not the first time that people in the house have been secretly photographed.  I guess it can't be that easy to manage the security there as we think.

As for the magazine justifying the pictures on grounds of public interest, yes, that's a ridiculous justification for invasion of privacy, but they're right in the fact that people really want to see the photos.  Wouldn't surprise me at all that this was one of their top selling issues - not to mention the money they've made selling the photos globally. Has to be worth millions.  

IMO it wouldn't have made one whit of difference if George has released his own pictures first: there'd still be a thirst for more pictures, and if he had already invaded his own children's privacy, the magazine would really have a case for publishing the pics.

Now all they can do is whine "People want to see the pictures".  Sure.  But people want all sorts of shit and that doesn't make it ok to give it to them.

I remember years ago Victoria Beckham said that the first  pictures of her oldest son were worth one million dollars. So she released them herself so the paps couldn't make that off her son. It was also said that pictures of the parents holding the babies was also worth a lot.
The whole thing is ridiculous children should be left a lone not hunted.

Do you remember their wedding in Venice? They published lots of photos shortly afterwards and had announced it prior. They also showed up the night before the wedding, George was seen having a coffee with Cindy ahead of the wedding, and we got to see them on Sunday and Monday. These pics were published immediately by everyone who was there
Nevertheless there were pics taken secretly from the party, the reception the night before and lunch the following day. And they were sold. Was there really a demand for more pics? I don't think so...
Maybe they were waiting for weiry photos, somebody fighting or doing silly things while he was drunk, but theworst thing that happened was a man dancing with a naked torso.

Well I hope George is planning to sue and sue for a lot!  I hope he puts a real dent in whatever ridiculous sum of money Voici made off of this illegal photo.

I think that's why they had the wedding so open less pictures for people to sell and make a profit. We fans got a look and shared their happiness and the paps lost money. No real exclusives other than a few bad pictures.

No matter what George and Amal do they will be of interest let's be honest there really aren't that many big name celebrities out there. Not many with George's class and elegance. Most of the one's we have now I have no idea who they are and all the instagram ridiculousness to me is a giant turn off. I don't need to see you naked.

George T Clooney has without any shadow of doubt plagiarised MY BELLY....the total cheek of the man....there it is for all to see the damn impersonation of my perfection.....It's taken me years (and one very good Christmas) to nurture my tummy to the soft sensuous mound it is today....He has even grafted that tiny sexy crease where the string of my panties pull too tight after a blow out meal or a long flight.....

Now looking on the bright side it does mean that if that pesky pap was to photo George and I from behind said wall....head and shoulders showing only....they would see George Clooney holding a civilised conversation at a respectable distance with a humble fan....Little would they know that we are buck naked from the midriff down....and below and behind the wall my sensuous belly brushes his sensuous belly and my tempting belly button kisses his belly button....and we are in tummy heaven....No hands or lips required....

  WWHS - Thanks for the laugh! I noticed the tummy, too, but was too scared to mention it. My first reaction was that he looked more pregnant in that photo than Amal did in any of the shots we saw of her! Maybe those stories of him going through a sympathetic pregnancy were true.

Anyhoo - seems to me he's let himself go a bit. IMO, just another sign that he's not too interested in appearing on screen again soon.

Yes put Voici out of business.  That would send a signal.  I don't know how big Voici is in Europe.  I've never heard of them.  If they are as big as 'The National Enquirer' here in the states then it probably won't happen.

I haven't seen the pics, but I don't mind a dad bod. Especially since he has two new babies and is on vacation. I think I would be disappointed if he was focused on staying in shape.

Besides, he's a man. A few weeks in the gym, or a couple with a trainer, and he's fit and trim again.

But that's a good one about him looking more pregnant than Amal ever did.

Dunno, but wouldn't have thought so - it's a French mag and she wasn't particularly famous in France, only in Italy. There was one Italian mag that gave her a lot of coverage but I can't be bothered to remember its name now!
