Weirdo has hacked my email!

Hi...to anyone on here who has received an email from me last night...not me! Looks like the looney has hacked my account..what a saddo!

That's terrible Merlin - do you mean that you think the person who is a pest on this site hacked your email?

sorry can you clarify. My password on this site is different to that which I use for my email account. I don't recollect giving Katie my password to my email account when I registered.

No not the password for signing in here.

If there's any danger of my email account being hacked by anyone then I change my password for my email account.
I'm just playing safe !

It's recommended by email providers as a regular thing
to do anyway.

It's always a good thing to change your email password.

Just to clarify, what happened to Merlin's email had nothing to do with this site.

I got an email from a friend who just experienced this. If anyone calls and says they're from a well-known company (Microsoft in this case) and they want to remote into your computer because of a software issue with your operating system, or because your computer is running slow, do not let them. My friend watched as they took her passport, credit card info, passwords, bank statements, and then locked her out of her own computer, which now has to be formatted. Because this was a "hack" there was no way for her to turn it off. Beware ladies

Hi nothing to do with here...I think because I posted on Stacy's FB page when the nutter was on there...I don't even give a toss about Stacy just hated the way it reflects on the rest of us.....you have to feel sorry for her what a pathetic lonely life she must have.

To make a password unreadable by hackers, it must be complex : combine uppercase and lowercase letters, insert numbers, your password should not be short. You can also use a password as phrase you can easily remember.

damn, those were all my good passwords!! NOT!

Having a good anti-virus helps as well. Keep your definitions updated. Dont rely on auto-update
