Elisabetta does not have a tourist visa. As she said herself she has a 01 (4th type) "non-immigrant" visa which allows her to work (it's a visa for entertainment, TV and movie industry). This visa is issued for a maximum of 3 years as long as the job she was hired for lasts that long. With this visa she can work and earn money in the US. If the job should last longer than 3 years the 01 visa can be renewed on a yearly basis. That is why she is applying for a green card which is an "immigrant" visa and she would not have to work but she would have to provide evidence that she can support herself in this country forever.

The tourist visa like your friend has only lasts 90 days. I also had a friend who was going to the Bahamas (closer to the East Coast of the US than Mexico) for the day and come back until she finally decided to apply for a green card because she got tired to this and by this time she was also married to a US citizen and had already a child, so I don't know what she was waiting for.

OMG!! I was having my nails done at the shop and they had the TV on with Days of Our Lives. I never watch soap operas because I am too busy; however I had a jolt when I saw an actress whom I believe was Elisabetta Canalis. I could not get too close to the TV to make sure but this lady spoke great English. So who was she?? It turns out to be Kristian Alfonso and I believe she looks exactly like Elisabetta even the expression of her face when she speaks. So we already have an "exotic beauty" (that's the way Eli was called at the time of DWTS) in the US, so why import another one?

I read the link. It is always the same..."we do not test on animals unless absolutely necessary and requested by the law of some countries and we are spending a lot of money looking for alternatives on animal testing". I believe them, such testing is very expensive and all the companies in the same industry are doing the same but until now they have not found a solution. Also when they say that at least no testing of the "final" product is done in Europe, I agree but the ingredients in the final products are tested on animals for toxicity (especially true in the US where security is strict) so in a way or other the product cannot be labeled "not tested on animals". We will never get to the bottom of it. P&G speaks like the Oracle of Delphi, sentences that can be interpreted in different ways so they get away with it and Eli who got a good bundle of money to be their testimonial and will not give up her bread and butter...and I don't blame her.

An interesting thing I found out is that Peta is actually a shareholder in P and G. They claim to do this in order to be part of the board of directors and try to push the company to use testing methods that don't involve using animals (obviously this is not working). Very smart of you to find out about Peta being a shareholder of P@G and I agree with you completely about Peta not making such a big issue when Eli was offered the job. Lucy, I don't think she is in love, but I believe that she is searching for somebody to be in love with. Maybe she will be lucky and one of those days she will find it. But so far almost none of George’s ex girlfriends were able to achieve that. Looks like he is a bad luck charm for them.

zizi, George must spoil his GF's, so even if it's a temp position losing that lifestyle can't be an easy adjustment, on top of all that you lose all the new friends(his) that you've spent time with.But if you are looking for a more complete relationship it's probably best to end your time with George. On the contrary Eli has fallen really low, did you hear what TMZ said about her after she was papped with Steve-O yesterday?

Elisabetta Canalis has a new man in her life to replace ex-boyfriend George Clooney: Steve-O, the comedian and Jackass star whose many famous, outrageous stunts include pouring a can a beer into his rectum and attaching a leech to his eye.

On Monday, the Italian model-actress and Dancing with the Stars alum, 33, stepped out for a bite with Steve-O (real name: Stephen Glover), 37. Strolling and running errands after the meal, the twosome paused for numerous kisses and extended makeout sessions.

It's not the rebound fans might have predicted for Canalis, who followed up her two-year romance with Clooney, 50, with a fall 2011 fling with True Blood hunk Mehcad Brooks.

After splitting with Canalis in July, Clooney famously embarked on a new romance with WWE star Stacy Keibler; he and the 33-year-old are still going strong this awards season.

Well she's not getting the press she use to, so that should settle the questions on who the real star is!

I have to disagree about Stacy having class. A pretty dress does not mean you have class. It's all about the way you carry yourself and present yourself. Someone who tweets "if only i were gay" does not have class at all.
